@journeywithme2 I was looking up various recipes and substitutes for golden syrup myself, and came across this:
Is golden syrup the same as Golden Eagle Syrup?
From what I can tell, no.
Golden eagle syrup (from the Golden Eagle Syrup Company in Alabama, USA) is a blend of corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, cane sugar syrup, cane molasses, and honey. Golden syrup is made from sugar, water, and a slice of lemon. (from https://www.internationaldessertsblog.com/make-golden-syrup/)

@matildagirl Oh my YUM!!!! Thank you!!! for sharing your cuisine. I love to travel via cooking and reading books since I have neither the means nor the physical ability to actually travel!
@matildagirl Thanks for the recipe links! I had to find a substitute for golden syrup when we moved to Germany. We use sugar beet syrup and the Anzac biscuits still taste just as good. We made some this week and they are already gone.
Congratulations, Lawrence! Happy for you!
I was scrolling through episodes of L & S the other day. I loved that show. Squiggy was such a hilarious slimeball.
You'll have to tell us sometime about working with Rodney Dangerfield. He is still one of my favorite comedians....loved him in Back to School and Caddyshack. He was the king of one-liners. Very funny man.
I just checked and Love in Kilnerry will be available for rent on Vudu May 10th. You can pre-order it also.
Bluebelle told me about this little 47 second news bit about a little boy who gave his crush a ring. worth a look:

@jeanne-mayell Thank you! That was a blast from the past.. listening .. I missed two.. I went back and watched and saw who they were then. We all chose to be here at this time... sometimes? We get so wrapped up in it happening.. we forget that.
@journeywithme2 You only missed two? That would put you in contention for current champion. I missed many more than that. When I was young, I listened to so much music on the radio that I could tell who and what was playing with just one beat of a song. Time to get back into it because it gives me so much joy.
