So this happened this weekend.
My nephew who attends graduate school at Stanford contacted me by phone Friday night. That is a rarity, an actual phone call. We had been in a large family chat discussion with other family members and he wanted to further discuss some political topics with me. And we chatted on the phone for some time.
And then he said: "You know aunt (my name), you should run for a political office!" I said : Ah, that is very kind of to say." and laughed. Then he said "No, I am serious!"
He is getting a masters in the field of sustainability, environmental studies and public policy.
I take his endorsement as a high honor.
No, I am not running for office! But, if times were a bit different... maybe one day.
