@pat-czap Okay... they are finally getting their act together....the first young dr called in his senior surgeon as well as two other surgeons (one being the dr she wanted to go back to in Atlanta who did her first surgery 15 years ago.... for consult and trouble shoot via "FaceTime" "Zoom" type communications....oh the marvels of technology. She goes under the knife at 7:30 AM ..as "the faster we get it out the less nerve damage... tho there is likely already some permanent damage" They will keep her until Friday and if she can walk they will let her go home. That's repairs to L4-L5 (L5 being completely in pieces with the biggest herniation they have ever seen) as well as some in the cervical spine region. So join me in sending her the best juju for successful surgery and complete healing. That AA Raphael and Creator work through the hands and eyes of each surgeon and surgical techs and anesthesiologist involved. That the nurses and patient care coordinators and PT 's hands all be blessed ..that every hand that touch her be healing , loving hands. And so it is. Thank you all for your prayers and Light and Love and most of all....care and support. Thankful beyond words for you all here.
@journeywithme2 Great news. Healing hands all around.
@pat-czap, how are you doing? As I read your posts, I picked up on you feeling sad, but resilient and determined all at the same time. It was a good feeling, given your circumstances. It made me feel like you are trying to keep yourself busy and surround yourself with those with higher vibrations to keep you both grounded and looking forward. That is a good thing. Give yourself time and a pat on the back.
@journeywithme2, is there a young female doctor involved in this? I saw a young blonde in scrubs when I first read about the doc at the current hospital, and then as I read, saw the doc you mentioned is a fellow. So I don't know if this is a nurse, doc, tech, anesthesiologist, or maybe a future physical therapist? I just know I got a good vibe from her-if that helps ease your mind. It makes sense that they don't want to transport her-sounds like the trip could cause further damage. Will send prayers and light.
@unk-p I'm sorry Curt is having such a hard time. My younger sister had issues with pain meds not working. While it doesn't take away the pain, I used to get her adult coloring books. The concentration needed was sort of like a form of hypnosis, which helps distract from the pain, at least for a little bit. It's not a solution, but if there's something that Curt can do that requires high levels of concentration that he'd find enjoyable, it can help for short periods of time.
@cindy Your post about me brings me hope. It rather feels right on. I have to keep moving forward as best I can. Eric's choice for his death was rather spectacular, and public, so I'm trying to wrap my head around that one. Yesterday was hard as I had to pick up my son's, my baby, ashes and drive home. I am kinda angry. Trying to figure out the final resting place for Greg and Eric. Most likely take them back to Michigan, our home state, and have a celebration of life "event". One day at a time. Thank you for asking about me. Much appreciated.
@cindy that sounds like her PT ... and I am just relieved that she is finally getting the care she needs. She is a terrific gal who does a lot for our fight for Democracy as well as caring for all the critters at her farm and getaway cottage. She goes too too hard and needs to slow down and get some reliable farm hands to help. Thank you for Light and Love and Healing prayers!
Thinking of you often.. Hope you can feel that. I cannot imagine what this is like for you...only that the sadness and sorrow must be unimaginably deep.
Please continue to lean on us.
To all suffering listed I offer the prayer and hope of One day at a time. One hour one minute one second at a time as needed. And my love.
@ghandigirl ❤❤❤
Update: surgery has gone well... DSM was in recovery about lunch time, has been able to sit up a bit more ,comfortably. Was able to eat a light meal later in the day. From going in on Monday to surgery today and possibly going home tomorrow afternoon.... our prayers have been answered and our Love and Healing are helping.Thank you so much everyone... it matters and made a difference. We are grateful.
@journeywithme2 That is great to hear. May DSM continue on a very uneventful recovery and head home soon .
@lowtide Many do not realize this but most women have a higher tolerance for pain than men. If we are crying or hurting, it's generally pretty gruelling. I am saying prayers and sending intent of reiki to diminish pain from any trauma, physical, emotional, and spiritual, to everyone experiencing it at this time.
