Was going to put this in the Anger Energy thread, but I think this deserves its own. Fascinating research on light vs. dark personality traits. It acknowledges that we all possess both, but we tend to fall more towards one side than the other. Interesting to know that while much research has been done on the Dark Triad (Psychopathy+Narcissism+Machiavellianism), little has been done on the Light Triad, in fact these authors are the ones who defined what the Light Triad is. There's also a handy little quiz embedded in the article to help us see where we fall on this spectrum.
Hmm, fun quiz. I got an overall score of 1.6 (light). I can't help but think if I took this quiz before Nov 2016, my score would have been higher....my optimistic opinion of "my fellow men" has taken a bit of a beating over the past few years.
I agree with @Codyroo; the test was fun. @Laura F, thanks for posting the article, it was a good read. I am not sure how I managed to score 43.75 to the light, so I hope it bodes well. I seem to have some to spare, so sending your way!
Laura: Thanks for posting this test, it was fun. My husband and I both took the test (I was 35.42 and he was 33.33 to the light side). Funny that he and I tested around the same amount.
I took that test and did pretty good. Then they wanted me to answer some questions. The second question was 'do you have an active bank account'? That is a red flag to me, and I didn't go on.
Something is amiss because neither I nor other people I know off here who took it got that question. Malware of some sort may be on your machine. It was through a reputable site.
Ok, I retook it, just to see what my 1.6 was, I think it was a relative scale thing. It had me at 62.5% light side. That sounds right if 62.5% = ~1.6 in non percentage scale
That's the same thing that I got 62.5.
