@kathleen Maybe there are different types of dreams? I am not sure if you meant your statement regarding 'no outside force or spirits affect your dreams' to apply to all sleep communications. It sounds very limiting compared to the dream experiences people have shared on this website as well as my own experience with dreams.
@mkay Yes, the dream analysis that I learned does not embrace outside entities or spirits or angels having any direct impact on dreams, and instead holds that we are entirely responsible for our own feelings and experiences, whether awake or asleep. I also believe that my dreams are not populated by outside spirits, rather, only by my own thoughts and emotions.
However, I've come to believe and accept, based on my own experiences, that I have spirits that have guided me subtly during my life. They don't communicate through my dreams, but since my dreams are part of my overall life experience, I learn about myself through my dreams. My dream training helped me to understand that my dreams are derived from my overall living experiences. We don't all have the same beliefs about dreams and that's fine. It's just my perspective based on my own experience.
I'm not looking for interpretation but I did have an amusing dream event last night.
For background: I frequently have dreams where I am traveling with groups of people. Sometimes it is a tour group and we are visiting different countries, and they usually end up with me having trouble keeping by belongings together and figuring out where we are and where I'm supposed to be meeting up with people and such.
Anyhow I had one of these tour dreams last night. At one point I was getting confused and I said to another person, "I don't know why I keep taking these tours. They are so disorganized and the leaders don't keep us informed-- half the time I don't even know which continent I'm on. I don't think I'll do this again." The other person seemed to agree.
A little later someone called me by name up to an information desk and said that they had information that someone had hacked my credit card and taken out some 200 peso coins (actual metal coins, which were sitting on the desk). I said to them, "Well, I can't do anything about it now because I'm asleep." They looked at me funny and asked if I needed a nap or something and I said "No, I'm in actual REM sleep right now and I'll look into it when I wake up." THis made them even more confused. (And nothing seems wrong with my credit cards now that I'm awake).
I thought it was hilarious that I told people in the dream that I was in a dream. Talk about lucid dreaming, LOL.
So, for those who know what I am doing, we're going through hell right now as we're starting to get traction, as the runway gets very short. Never very fun.
Anyway, I had this dream Sunday night, and sorry it's not overly detailed;
Two weird dreams back to back. First one involved a person, not my nephew, but in the dream my nephew, that got caught trying to sell drugs, they let him go, he ends up with more drugs and gets arrested and it’s like I’ve told you so many times, and he’s like but I was just trying to help. This is all happening in a parkade across from a local bar, and there are a lot of police. Then it rolls into a dream where Madonna ( not sure why her ) found out what we were doing because, for some reason, she was there and got behind us in a big way. Representative to me. But the weird thing was her eyes were incredibly green, almost as if she were Mother Earth incarnate. Anyway, she gave me a thank-you kiss and jumped into her tour truck with her kids.
Given where we are, I am at a "you tried your best," but could not overcome the inertia of the moment. which is not positive.
