Really interesting little piece about magic and Brujeria, sort of an overview of the roots of magic and various cultural manifestations of it.
I thought of my new friends here in this forum when the reference to intuitives came up.
I’ve been fascinated by magic ever since I was a child. My favorite books, movies, TV shows, art all had that in common. At some point, I became afraid of it — probably due to its reputation as being unwholesome or even Satanic. I think that was a very narrow and prejudiced view, and I’ve since evolved well away from that paradigm.
I’ve noticed that Teen Vogue has a lot of interesting articles, especially those on politics and social issues. The magazines I read as a teen were filled with drivel about makeup tips and weight loss advice. Ugh.
