I had a brief (just a few minutes) glimpse of an extension of my ongoing (but stalled) vision this evening. I was/am still in the white room with the statue but farther away from it, edging back toward the continuing path. As I looked back at the statue, I saw that the "gold" plating on the "hair" of the statue was tarnished and dark in spots and the paint of the features on the statue was flaking off, revealing the bare white plaster underneath. I seemed to be moving back toward the continuation of the path, only a small amount at this point, but definitely moving in the right direction again.
I can only interpret this in relation to the current situation here in the US, of course, and the tarnish on the statue seems to me to be representative of more people realizing that he was not and is not what he tried to appear to be, i.e., the "shine" is wearing off. The flaking paint revealing white plaster (not marble as I had thought when I first saw the statue) seems to symbolize the revelation that under all that gaudiness, there is nothing to see, no real substance, and no power - all show and no go, as it were - and his influence is and will continue to fade. perhaps more quickly than it might seem. I don't believe we're close to being out of the woods yet, but we do seem to be moving that way.
@tgraf66 Wonderful statue vision—it recalls the Old Testament story of the Golden Calf, when the Israelites, waiting in the desert as Moses spoke with God on Mt. Sinai, lost faith, melted their gold into a calf, and danced around it (ballroom, anyone?). Bulls were ancient symbols of material power, so they replaced God’s deeper truth with glittering idolatry—until Moses stormed down, shattered the idol, and restored their focus on spirit.
Your gold-tinged statue turning tarnished echoes that timeless metaphor: the false allure of material worship.
P.S. Couldn’t find your earlier post on the statue vision—would love to read it!
P.P.S. No archaeological proof of a 40-year desert stay exists—it may be mythic, rooted in smaller groups’ wanderings, but it endures for its inner truth.
@jeanne-mayell These are all of the posts I've made concerning this ongoing vision so you can read the whole thing again from the beginning if you like. The first time I mentioned that it was a statue was in the fourth post.
Back in late 2019 and early 2020 I started having dreams that in hindsight I understood were portending covid. I didn't post them here becuase I didn't think to, though now I wish I had.
The first of the dreams was of a ninja-like figure dressed all in black that came at me really fast. I managed to escape in the nick of time by getting into my car. It was terrifying, and I woke up with a start, sitting straight up with my heart pounding. There was a distinct feeling of a threat, dread and portention to the dream.
I then went on to have more related dreams over the next two or three years. I could tell they were related because they all had the same forboding feeling. First it was an Asian woman dressed in a red velvet gown coming to my front door. Another was an Englishman walking down my street who was well-dressed and kindly looking, but as I looked closer he was sinister and I that bad feeling again. There were others too.
I began to realize I was dreaming of each variant.
I bring all of this up because I had a flash of a dream the other night that had a similar feeling.
In the dream I walked into a room and there was a turtle sitting on the floor.
I woke up with a start. Even though it was simple and quick, something felt bad about it.
I don't know what this means but I wanted to record it here.
My sense is it may be related to something in the water, but I don't know for certain. (I say this because it was a fresh water turtle, like a river slider you might see in rivers and ponds in the southeastern US).
@jeanne-mayell, I just read your post in the other thread about food inspections being reduced, and wonder if it may have something to do with fresh water fish?
Anyway, take care of yourselves and trust your gut if you feel you should avoid eating or drinking something, just in case!
@kateinpdx Your dream is interesting. I noticed that you associated it with the Covid dreams but jumped to a different threat. I wonder if it could be related to Covid. Either way, I noted that the original dreams involved a fast moving ninja, whereas this dream involves a slow moving turtle perhaps representing that Covid is still around but not a new, fast moving threat (more endemic). Or like you suggested a different concern that is going to come at us in a different, slower manner. Also the turtle has a shell which made me think again of Covid. While we may still have a risk from Covid we have some protection - a shell against it -now either from immunity or vaccines.
A few days ago, I had another brief vision in my continuing saga. I was in the room with the statue, but further away, and as I looked back at the statue, I saw Stephen Miller's face peeking around the left edge of the wall (as I was facing it) behind the statue with a very dark and angry expression. he came out from behind the wall and tried to run toward me, but as he passed the statue, the left arm of the statue suddenly shot out and punched him in the side of the head, and he stopped cold and crumpled to the ground.
I have no idea what that means. I didn't post it when I first saw it because Stephen Miller is the architect and enforcer of the ICE raids and is deeply in TFG's pocket (or vice-versa, i don't know which), so the idea that the Orange One would suddenly attack him seemingly out of nowhere seems implausible to me. On the other hand TFG appears to be severely mentally impaired and erratic, so who knows?
Last night I had another dream that seems to be more than personal:
I was teaching at a university (this dreamscape university is not one I know, but versions of it pop up in my dreams quite a lot). After my class was done I met some friends (not people I know in waking life) for lunch. There was a line for Guinean food. The vendors (recent immigrants) were rather thin. They had been operating a restaurant but it was failing due to lack of business. The owners were despairing until the university gave them a contract to sell food on campus. They were grateful for the opportunity. The food was stews of lentils and grains and other things I did not recognize. I didn't know what I was getting. There was also some bread and a white sauce that was a condiment. I liked the bread, some of the stews, but not the white sauce.
After we finished lunch we went out on the lawn. There was a huge cliff in the back of the school. On top of it were several people. Some of them appeared to be Muslim clerics wearing light blue robes. I also inferred somehow that the other people were clergy of other faiths. The men in blue began chanting/singing-- and I wish I could remember the tune and all the words but I lost it after I'd been awake a few minutes. What I remember was the chant started with "Gaza..." and said something about asking Gaza to make peace with Palestine, then continued with prayers for peace in general. Their voices were resonant and clear. It was very beautiful. That's it.
Even within the dream I was puzzled as to why they were asking Gaza to make peace with Palestine, when at least on the surface the two are not directly opposing each other.
Overall it was a very positive dream.
The first half of the dream feels connected to themes of cultural exchange and mutual support. Universities often symbolize places where humanity learns, evolves, and broadens its perspective. The Guinean restaurant owners may represent voices, cultures, or peoples who have been overlooked. Their survival comes not through competition but through partnership with a larger institution. The dream suggests that communities endure by supporting one another rather than operating in isolation.
The unfamiliar foods are also interesting. In dreams, food often symbolizes ideas, values, or experiences we are taking in. Some of the foods are enjoyed more than others, which feels realistic rather than idealized. The dream seems to suggest learning from unfamiliar sources and discovering unexpected nourishment there.
The second half of the dream feels more overtly spiritual. The cliff suggests a higher vantage point from which to view human affairs. The gathering of clergy from multiple faiths is particularly striking. Although Muslim clerics lead the chant, the dreamer somehow knows representatives of other faiths are present as well. This feels less like a dream about Islam specifically and more like a dream about interfaith cooperation. The blue robes reinforce themes of peace, healing, devotion, and spiritual communication.
The most mysterious element is the phrase asking Gaza to make peace with Palestine. Since Gaza is part of Palestine, the statement appears illogical on the surface. Dreams, however, often use symbols rather than literal meanings. The dream may be pointing toward healing divisions within groups, communities, or nations, suggesting that peace often begins within before it can extend outward. Gaza itself has become a symbol of suffering and conflict, so the dream may be expressing a hope that wounded people can find a path toward healing.
What stands out most is the emotional tone. The dream ends not with fear or warning, but with beautiful voices singing for peace from a higher perspective. It feels less like a prediction of events and more like a glimpse of what becomes possible when people choose cooperation, understanding, and reconciliation over division.
I love your dreams, and hope you'll keep sharing them with us.
