Stripping away the "yuck" and revealing the historical and natural beauty seems like a microcosm of what we need to do as a society.
OMG I never thought of it that way, but that is what I've been doing for decades for both properties-- both to the natural and built components.

While learning mandarin, to take advantage of the quarantine, I found out that 占 zhan(1st tone) which sounds exactly like Jeanne in french, means to practice divination . Does that count as a godwink ?

This weekend my mom was rifling through a drawer and came across a series of marker drawings I made in kindergarten of the Statue of Liberty. I drew the statue from various perspectives, and on the first drawing I had written "statuuwuvlivrety." In the middle of the series I drew a smudge of gray in the sky with a lightning bolt striking the statue. But that was only the middle, and I had drawn pictures after that of Lady Liberty standing tall against a clear sky. I interpret the drawings as a godwink and a message from my 5-year-old self to my current self about the storm of rebirth I personally and we collectively would be going through at this time.
