@stargazer ??  I sort of went the "comic" route for these so you didn't think I was mistakenly posting the same image every day while that ball drops.  Releasing a panel a day.  I like yours better than the punchline to this one.

One question - we have 85 days until Inauguration.  Will I need to prepare new images for a new countdown for that?  ??

Too bad the GOP in the senate didn't get the memo:

Conservative New Hampshire paper backs Biden -- its first Democratic endorsement in 100 years

The New Hampshire Union Leader, a conservative-leaning newspaper, has endorsed Democratic candidate Joe Biden for president, despite its century-long history of backing Republicans. In backing Biden, the newspaper endorsed its first Democratic candidate in over 100 years.

"Building this country up sits squarely within the skill set of Joseph Biden. We have found Mr. Biden to be a caring, compassionate and professional public servant," the Union Leader editorial board wrote on Sunday. "He has repeatedly expressed his desire to be a president for all of America, and we take him at his word."
The paper's editorial board did however highlight what it calls "significant" policy disagreements with Biden, which the board says it expects to spend a "portion of the next four years disagreeing with."
"Joe Biden may not be the president we want, but in 2020 he is the president we desperately need," the editorial continued. "He will be a president to bring people together and right the ship of state."

@dannyboy So grateful that you found our community and uplifted us all with your art and your limericks.  I hope @UnkP is also reading and enjoying your work, which continues his uplifting tradition. Also grateful that you taught me how to post photos here.

Feeling lighter each day.  I finally let myself watch clips from the Thursday debate and was impressed at the shift in each man when the rules of debate were enforced, creating a level playing field. It may have taken four years, but the media is learning how to create the conditions for truth.

Trump, without his weaponry, was clearly disarmed, weaker, defensive, nervous, whiney. I could see him falling.  Biden was confident, grounded, smiling, and his light shown through.  I could see him rising.

I pondered how these two men in their seventies ended up on such different paths, one rising, the other falling.

One person has spent his life hiding from himself, by projecting his failures onto others. Having never learned to own his failures, his child self couldn't grow, and there is no self inside him except the little child. He never grew up.

So when he is challenged and can't use his usual tactics of striking out at others, he has no self to fall back on, just that little child. So he  just whines.  I was struck at how young he seemed.  I've never seen a bully so disarmed before.

The other person has spent his life listening and even giving way to others, sometimes to his detriment, but then owning his mistakes, accepting and living with his losses, always caring for others, and enduring through it all. He has allowed his Self to learn, grow, strengthen, and, remaining humble, he likes himself.

@jeanne-mayell Yes it’s such a relief. I also have been feeling, all weekend and it’s growing more palpable, many people’s exhaustion w him. Even his most loyal followers who never stop to censor their inflammatory words (people from my hometown I’m referencing) are quiet. I’m not sure that they’re convinced completely that he shouldn’t be re-elected, but they don’t have it in them to keep shouting. They’re exhausted by him, too. And, I feel/sense, finally!, their real fear of getting Covid/sick.

Is anyone else getting this sense also?

@stargazer  Perhaps -- but I've had the November 3rd graphic done since I made the first one on day 95 :-)  It's a "postcard" it would be a shame not to send.  ????

Presented without comment today.  May have to change the punchline tomorrow after the events of last night.
