I voted today, too! Took our completed mail-in ballots to the Supervisor of Elections office and handed them to an employee there. I had to stand in line to do so!! Good omen. We received our ballot on Friday. This is the earliest I’ve ever voted. It felt great!!!
@dannyboy This piece of art is wonderful. Should be posted everywhere. Thank you for posting it here.
People may be wondering how you got something posted here, and the secret is that it is not actually on the site, but in google photos, so it's embedded but not posted. Anyone who uses google photos and embeds their photos here can post all of the photos they want.
I'm in Norfolk, Virginia and dropped off my absentee ballot in person last Friday. I too was amazed at the number of people lined up for early voting. There was a line of cars outside City Hall where early voting was taking place and they would let a few folks in at a time. Luckily, I parked at a nearby parking garage and walked over. Between walking and having my ballot ready to drop off, I did not have to wait in line. I just had to show the worker my ID and that it matched my name on the ballot envelope, and then I slipped the ballot envelope into the slot on a locked box.
I'm encouraged by the number of early voters as I suspect (though I can't prove) that early voters are voting against trump.
@jeanne-mayell Y'all are building my ego to "door buster" proportions :-). Thank you for that! I'll have to put my brain on Days 30 and 25 next.
