Not really covered in the news was this little gem.
Yesterday, Tom Marino, a U.S. Congressman (R) from PA resigned. The term just began 2 weeks ago and it was his fifth term in office. He is seeking a job in the private sector.
Who does that? Go through a whole election and quit at the beginning of a new session in office.
. "Trump twice considered Marino for the Office of National Drug Control Policy as the nation's drug czar, but Marino, of Cogan Station, withdrew his name in both instances. Marino removed his name from consideration, however, following reports that he steered a bill through Congress that weakened the government's ability to crack down on the opioid epidemic."
Something tells me there is more to to this story. I wonder if any drug companies are hiring?
