Here is a great quick take on the results of the impeachment trial by David Frum. He lays out a good case for, “It’ll Do.”
@lowtide At the risk of being "that guy", that's what the German gov't said in 1923. Ten years later...
Typical Libra seeking balance I see why it was done the way it is done...
Oh my gosh Journey, LibraLink!!! As I was reading your Part One I was thinking about the very same comment from Stacy Plaskett...then on to Part two and there it was! Everything else you said was as it had been in my own mind and heart as well. Love it when direct resonance occurs (with or without great LibraLink! ? ) THIS is part of why I love this forum. ? ❤️
The NAACP has brought the lawsuit against the Orange One, Giuliani, The Proud Boys, and the Oath Keepers on behalf of Congressional Rep. Bennie G. Thompson using the KKK Act of 1871. Teri Kanefield has a short thread on it here with a link to the filing:

I know it's wrong, but there is something immensely satisfying watching T. viciously turn on people like Moscow Mitch. Got no tears for MM, at all...he turned a blind eye to every nasty illegal thing T. did, when he wasn't actively aiding and abetting his fascist agenda. It really is a Fatal Attractions situation with these sycophants and T.
You can keep a wild animal for years and you think you're ok, and you might be for a time, but the chance that animal is going to turn on you is always there, and will probably happen at some point.
Fox the conservative fuel industry panderers have been trying to blame renewable energy on the Texas power outages. That is another GOP lie. It is a lack of preparedness by the whole Texas utility grid system which translates into bigger profits for their utility industry, as well as the Lone Star State's unwillingness to cooperate with other states which, if reciprocal systems had been set up, could have bailed them out during a weather crisis.
As if on cue, Repubs are saying that the frozen wind turbines mean that renewables are no good. But in states that are prepared for cold weather, they simply de-ice their wind turbines. Also the wind turbines are far down the list of what went wrong.
Frozen wind turbines aren't why Texas can't keep the lights on
@jeanne-mayell curious, was this what you were thinking about when you got the premonition of Texas! Texas! Texas!
@jsr78 I had the very same thought! Didn’t have time to look up the details, but one of my first thoughts on hearing of the storms and power outages and widespread problems was that Texas, Texas, Texas! prediction!
Worried that the GoP is trying to twist things around again though saying it is ts wind-turbines that are faulty and climate change isn't real....
@jsr78 I had that Audio vision in July 2016 when meditating on 2017 and beyond. At first I saw a ripple in the air starting in February 2017 and realized it meant a new normal was coming (Donald Trump was coming). I asked spirit for more information and I heard loud and clear and really bizarre chorus of spirits chanting Texas, Texas, Texas. The rest was my own gut reaction to hearing that chant. Here is is:
I took it to mean that the Lone Star State's reactionary government would cause some kind of departure from the rest of the country. They are the most conservative, state in the union, and I feel Texas Texas Texas was a warning of that radical right ideology that is such a core for Texas would be a significant part of the new normal. It certainly has been that.
My first thought about the Texas, Texas chant back in July 2016 was the state would secede if they didn't get a conservative president. But they got Donald Trump.
Then when Trump issue his extreme anti-immigration ban as soon as he took office, I began to see that Texas, Texas, Texas, as the southern border as a site of the kind of fascist racism that we saw with Hitler targeting the Jews in WWII. But those terrible scape-coating policies weren't the fault of Texas. They were Trump's policies. Still caging children and separating them from parents as a punishment mechanism was at the heart of the new normal that occurred in 2017.
Then when the Houston floods happened, I thought, well, this is a state that had allowed zoning to favor profitable developers over the public good, another example of profit and privateering over public good. They also ignored the science about climate change. Who suffered from that? Not the developers but the people.
And now with the latest failure of the state's power grid, we see that the state had set up a power grid that was allowed to be unprepared for extreme weather. It is costly for the utility companies set up preparations for rare events; it cuts into their profits.
The state also failed to enact reciprocal agreements with neighboring states which would help each other with power during these kinds of extreme situations.
The state's governor and legislature are at the extreme end of right wing politics. Cruz was at the forefront of Stop the Steel and Congressional overthrow.
But the demographic changes are going to change in Texas.
I don’t like thinking this way, but the coldheartedness of Texas leadership has come back to bite them and their constituents in a hellish, horrible way. As the angels are helping Texans stay warm, dry, fed and safe, I hope they are also pricking the consciences of their terrible leaders and thawing their hardened, cold hearts.
We are witnessing the beginning of the end of the Republican Party.
The Republicans have relied on divisions, stirring hatred, and denial for so long they can't stand for anything. You have the "normal" moderate Republican party that pretends to be good, but their only goal is to stay in power (think the "compassionate conservatives" during the Bush years.) These people are being attacked by the "radical" Republicans, which is basically the tea party, the Trumpers, the Proud Boys, and pretty much any hate group filled with whining, miserable people who believe that someone is always to blame for their problems and yet do not do anything constructive to solve them.
Thanks to Trump and his desire to gain revenge on his "enemies," these two sides are warring each other, and it will only get worse.
Trump will drive his supporters to get people like Greene to run for office and challenge anyone who he deems as an enemy. The party will continue to become more and more dangerous, and many will leave it completely. Some will become independents, but most simply won't vote, which is great for Democrats.
Why is this happening? Because Republicans are under the sad delusion that they need Trump to regain the Senate and House.
Right now, Republicans who were brave enough to put country over party are being threatened and punished.
I am asking everyone right now to send prayers and light in hopes that some story comes out in the next few months that will destroy Trump and make him an outcast from the Republicans. If our country is going to survive the radicalization of half the country into a terrorist organization, then Trump must go in a very humiliating way.
Am I wishing harm? No. I want the truth to come out and for the American public to finally open their eyes and do what needs to be done with Trump. So everyone, please send prayers and light so protect the sane Republicans and for the rest of the party to be forcibly woken up to the truth of this man. This needs to end.
@allyn For what it's worth, I hear very clearly, "Is he still living?" Though insistent, this may be off-mark, because I've never been able/allowed myself to try any divinations in which he is the topic. I do think it logical, though, that a man of his age, addictions, and history would be dead for the next election cycle. But then again, there is the Dick Cheney Effect, where survivability is astounding.
Rush Limbaugh has left the planet. Trump called in to Fox News (good ole #45 they call him.. they do not call him "the former President") to say "
Donald Trump was asked about the origins of his friendship with conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh, who died this morning. Trump said a friend told him during his first presidential campaign that Limbaugh liked his politics.
“I have a very beautiful weakness,” the former president told Fox News. “I tend to like people who like me.”
Trump described Limbaugh as a “legend” who was beloved by his fans. “There aren’t too many legends around, but he is a legend,” Trump said.
When asked about what he and Limbaugh had spoken about in recent weeks, the president said they discussed the presidential election results.
“Rush thought we won, and so do I, by the way,” Trump said. “I think we won substantially.”
That is, of course, entirely false. Joe Biden fairly won the presidential race, and there has been no evidence of widespread voter fraud in the election." The Guardian US
SO he lost his loud-mouthed hate filled talk radio guru and his "The Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City has been demolished, ending a nearly 40-year run at the New Jersey shore." today.

I find it very interesting! Any thoughts on any of this to share?
We've had such a nice vacay from the ex Pres since Twitter and FB took his platform down. Now it's been twice today that I've accidentally read something he said to some media outlet I trust (WAPO) and/or someone I trust (community member who is a wonderful person and just trying to pass along the news) who decided to repost it here for all the right reasons. But for me, both times it was like accidentally touching dog poop with my bare hands. I quickly looked away and didn't read the quotes but just reading his words felt like an offense to public decency.
Not asking that we don't post about him. His fate is news that some may want to know. Joseph McCarthy continued in the Senate for a while until his drinking got him so that was probably painful for many people but in the end the man was washed up.
But could we not pass along any words he says?
Or maybe this is a better approach, if someone feels it is important to post something he has said, could you first post this in caps: WARNING: THIS POST CONTAINS SOME WORDS FROM THE EX-PRESIDENT. Then I can skip over that post.

This sounds interesting to me...do you have any links or more information about the Portal Days?
WOW!
