@share

Today while I did my chakra cleansing meditation I saw flashes of RBG in a white robe.  She was smiling and whispered “I will never stop dissenting, be a part of who I am and spread hope, love and empathy.  Find ways to have this difficult conversations with those that do not agree with you.” Not sure if it was my imagination but my meditation today gave me a lot of hope.

Thank you @jeannemayell @lovendures @deetoo @bluebelle@michele and everyone on this site for continuing to stay positive.  You guys are my light.

So much love right back to you dear, dear Share.

You sure saw envisioned RBG just as she truly is! And there just is no doubt in my heart and spirit that's she even encouraging us all, supporting and helping ALL of us now.

So pray for her and direct your prayers to her and believe she's here, there, and everywhere in a beautiful, elegantly ever so stately pearlescent collection of collars!

Bless you and thank you your most High Supremeness, Eternal Guardian of the Equality for All of Goodness and Light and so beloved RGB!

????

@jovesta

Caring blessings of goodness and light dear Jovesta!

@michele-b  Thank you; that does make a lot of sense.

And  blessings for the acceptance and understanding of my comment and its intent because as we all know we are living in a world that does not appear to make much sense right now!

Just trust that one day it will and persevere through the challenges together until we all get to that better world we all wish we had right now!

I have an awful migraine today but wanted to pop up with this: the day RGB died I awoke with the song “Sweet Surrender” by Sarah McLachlan in my head. It’s about letting go and just letting it be. That gives me peace.

@share. Thanks for your post and that powerful dream. Interesting that she said to have conversations with those who do not agree with you. Yesterday I listened to an NPR segment on her given by a reputedly close friend of hers, a former Boston University dean, who said she was also very close friends with Anthony Scalia. The dean was also close friends with Scalia.  I wondered how she could be friends with him.  Bill Mayer is also close friends with Anne Coulter and each speaks fondly of the other. I have relationships with people who are opposite to me politically, but we never talk about the issues. I need help learning to talk with them.

I saw this just now, very interesting to see what happens to this. Although I doubt it'll go far if voted on prior to a blue wave.

I feel like this was a hit as well, but I couldn't find a specific prediction for it. I know I've seen a post or two about laws being changed to prevent abuses of power.

Trump is scared of that investigation. Its all over every non right wing news outlet that he not only refused to guarantee a peaceful transition of power, but added  "Get rid of the ballots, youll have a continuation."

Its also being reported in multiple places that the campaign is trying to bypass the vote and choose his own loyalist electors for the college to guarantee a win. The link is one of many reporting on this

Didn't someone mention a while back that the closer you get to circling the drane the faster you go? Cause what's happening now leaves me speechless. The level of escalation is stunning, and it's not just trump. The whole gop seems to have plowed through whatever guardrails still existed, determined there is no price to pay for it, and will continue to escalate even further. Hearings for the new SCOTUS nominee? Maybe not. Stop the counting of votes. Why not? Their attitude seems to be "make me," or "what are you going to do about it."

My anxiety level is through the roof. I don't feel this ending well.

Regarding T's refusal to agree to a peaceful transition of power:  I just heard political scientist Rachel Bitecofer on Morning Joe.  She said that Trump cannot destroy democracy in America without the help of the R Party.   Bitecofer believes that for the past year or more, the RNC and the Congressional Rs have been deliberately setting the stage for a coup.  She said the head of the RNC, Ronna ROMNEY* McDaniel, needs to be hauled in for Congressional questioning NOW.  I'm not sure if there's time and what that will accomplish, unless it throws such a big light on what's happening that it creates a public backlash.

I was feeling very despondent and then a tiny voice said to me "calm down."  I then sensed 2 things:  that the election will end up in the Supreme Court, and that the decision won't be good for the Orange Monster.   I don't know if I'm right, but that's what I'm getting.  I'm curious to know what the rest of you are intuiting.

I haven't thrown cards in a while, but I'm going to do that today.  I'm still a newbie at it, but I want to see what I come up with.

*Ronna Romney McDaniel is Mitt's niece.

Am I to naive in thinking that the entire party can't possibly agree with this? Even though there are a few sycophants and people who are in it for themselves (most of them), a coup is a whole different ballgame. That means they are all OK with becoming the next Nazi Germany.

@moonbeam, unless I misunderstood what she was saying, that seemed to be Bitecofer's belief and who knows if she's right.  I think she was sounding a big alarm for all of us.  I don't believe it's the entire party but I think the danger is, if you want to win at any cost, then you can justify a lot.  And then the unthinkable happens and you exclaim, but that wasn't my intention, I didn't mean for that to happen.  Plus there's so much dark money that's behind this.

I still sense that in the end, we'll come out of this okay.

@deetoo, it is still hard to believe that there are so many people who could justify what they are doing with blinders on. My family was in the resistance in WWII. I know the stories first hand. All of this is a repeat of those days.

I choose to stay positive and hopeful though, for you, my fellow forum dwelling family, but also for the entire world on which the US has such an impact...

Take heart and keep hope alive that indeed you/us will come out of this okay. ❤️

Can we resist through prayer?

Oh, Sacred Divine of all that is, please bless this moment may it resound in all that is to bring peace, kindness, understanding, hope, compassion, love, generosity, and love to all beings. Please let this prayer send energetic healing to the birds, fish, four legged ones, and two legged ones.  May you protect us from blame, hurt, fear, and lies. May all hearts in this place be filled with light to reveal truth and love.

@moonbeam  The modern GOP is anti-democratic. They have been for years, but it's been incremental so hard to see them for what they are. If you look back at the 2000 election, come on. That was a stolen election, but was just so close between Bush and Gore that no one rioted in the streets, and no one wanted to see it for what it was. I think Americans are so convinced that we are the greatest democracy, that even when it's eroding right before our very eyes, we (or most) can't really believe what's happening.  But happening it is.

I've said this before on this site, that since Reagan was elected I have had a bad feeling anytime any republican -- fed, state or local -- got themselves elected. It was a feeling that was disproportionate to the actual event, but the past four years have made me realize why I felt the way I did. We were sliding toward something really bad, just too slowly to see it in its entirety.

I hope we pull back from the abyss.  I really, really hope so.

@firstcat, I felt chills as I read your beautiful prayer.  Such divine power behind it.  I will be saying it daily.

Thank you.

@lynnventura, I totally agree.  The sad part is, even those Rs who are diligently working against the Orange One consider Reagan a saint.   They won't consider the possibility that this is when our democratic erosion began.

Lately, I feel as we are going through the worst of the worst. However, doing some quick scans, I see Biden winning, but Trump won't transfer peacefully. I do not see him at the inauguration.

A positive take on the situation by esteemed journalist Jennifer Rubin from the Washington Post who believes that Biden is actually doing quite well now and could do even better in the days to come...

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/09/24/heres-why-bidens-lead-is-big-could-get-bigger/

I scratch my head at the journalists who earnestly ask T "whether he will respect the election results ?...and will he observe a peaceful transfer of power should he lose"? Of course he will demur and imply otherwise. It's like politely asking Mussolini the same thing.  We all know T is a fascist wannabe.  Truth is, once the votes are tallied and should he (God willing!) lose, he immediately becomes a civilian entitled to no special treatment. He cannot "squat" in the WH forever hiding from prosecution from that day forward..  I imagine something like the national Guard will be forced to decisively usher him out... boy, do I ever look forward to that day!

I imagine something like the national Guard will be forced to decisively usher him out... boy, do I ever look forward to that day!

The problem as I see it is that he's had four years to install loyalists at the head of every department, and essential departments like DOJ and DHS are utterly compromised. By the time November comes around, I have no doubt that even those Secret Service agents charged with protecting him will be diehard loyalists (if they aren't already). They won't let anyone near him who hasn't proven themselves "all in."

And as for the National Guard, that's a good question. As far as I know, only the governor of a state can deploy the Guard, and D.C. isn't a state. Would Jay Inslee do it? Perhaps. I don't have much hope for that, though: his term expires on January 21. That is quite the pickle.

I'm not sure *who* exactly would usher him out -- the problem as I see it is that there's no one left to do so.

Our only option is to vote in such large numbers so as to make stealing impossible. And if they still steal it, then mass mobilization will be necessary -- and shit will REALLY hit the fan then.

Much can happen between now and November, though -- as many have pointed out, everything is accelerating at such a pace it's hard to keep up -- but this is how I see things shaking out as of right now.

To end on a positive note: I do, however, have a feeling that voter turnout will be so exceptionally high he won't be able to contest the vote -- but he's certainly gonna try.

Just what I've been sensing, anyway.
