There is no doubt deception, and an attempt to take attention from the new Russia news and his finances. By now I have accepted he has covid, plus other conditions. I am so used to his wiggling out of situations it now seems, the chickens came home to roost. I am not sure he will have much presidency left. The rest maybe just hiding and manipulation.

There has been much speculation on here and in other places on line that if the Orange one were to resign or be incapacitated and Pence has to be sworn in, Pence could, would, or might try to pardon Orange man. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but how can there be a pardon if there are no actual pending possible charges or even current investigations? How could he be absolved of anything if there is nothing to be absolved from, not even a formal accusation of a crime?

Apparently, our own little Rocket man decided to take a victory lap, getting into a hermetically sealed vehicle with secret service members so he could show off how well he was doing to the MAGAts that have been prayer circling the hospital. Several cars (parade) with closed off traffic to accommodate the little stunt.

if for any reason trump is gone/resigns by end of Oct, what do you see happening with the election / blue wave.?. My fear is the never trumpers, Lincoln project folks , suburban woman, etc will no longer vote for Biden and blue senators down ballot,,,, they will vote for pence or Haley. This is why I hope trump remains on ballot,,,, we need a blue wave to kick them all out

I dont have Allyns legal expertise, but that has already been done before. Ford pardoned Nixon for and crimes he might have committed against the US during his presidency. It does, according to the SCOTUS, carry a legal implication and admission of guilt, but does not need to be for any specific crime as precedent has been set.
Pence has no chance of winning as the base won't turn out for him and Democrats have the same hatred for him they do for Trump. Haley could make it interesting since she separated herself from Trump and could regain the lost Republican vote. With early mail in voting already started, I dont think there is enough time to successfully win a fair election for any GOP POTUS candidate though. That said, with suppression tactics and Russian hacking anything is possible.
With Pence or Haley running instead of Trump, you won't have all the WH led anarchy you would with DT so that is a positive. Also, the presidency is not the most important race. The house and senate races, especially without Trump, are most important, as you go back to having a true check on the presidency that can be used without fear of civil war or mass bloodshed that you would with Trump.
I feel he won last time because we all focused on him and it made him blow up like a blood engorged tick, full of bad intent and craven lawlessness and immorality.
I think that definitely helped him. He feeds off of any kind of attention.
