@lovendures you know that Kamala Harris was born in 64 so that makes her a wood Dragon. She’s going to knock Pence’s panties off the podium with her intelligence and magical Dragon powers.

My goodness, your labor metaphor will get me through! Perfection. So happy to see your post. ?
@mas1581, I'm so glad you're healed and back on the forum, speaking you mind. ? Sepsis is a scary thing, and not as uncommon as people might think. I've known three people who have had it -- they fortunately caught it in time and recovered.
I'm praying for protection for you and your family. It must be really frustrating for you living among such clueless people. I'm fortunate to be living in Northern Virginia, where people are generally quite good about mask wearing and social distancing. My husband and I are a couple of geezers, so the added risk of Covid complications is baked in.
I had a vision posted on here in August about Darth Vader
“Then Darth Vader appeared and said May the Force Be with You. He somehow used his force/power to burn all the Maga hats.”
Well, one thing you can say about Darth Vader: he always wears his mask. ;)
The image of Trump as a catatonic blob calms my frayed nerves. If I were seeing this reaction as a stranger to myself, I would judge. But we have all felt these almost four years of jarring lack of safety, politically and medically. I feel that this unto itself is a "get out of jail free" card for my rudeness, to say it nicely. I don't think that simply voting him out is enough. It's the monster in our nightmare still chasing after us, lurking behind a door, gaining on us as we try to run. The fight or flight reaction is strong. I need him gone. (No, I am not homicidal or schizophrenic lol) But jeez, enough already!
Oh my. I had no idea it could happen that fact.
Well, I guess in the end your wife losing her job saved your life. That is amazing.
I am hearing more and more of people losing their jobs because of covid. Especially over the last little while. I am sorry that both of you were effected.
In the 9/30 read the future night, I remembered seeing hate group flags burning in a pile. The first thing I saw was a neo-Nazi flag. I would interpret it as hate groups returning to the fringes.
@snowbird I'd apologized for this disparagement earlier, and truly I do know this to be true. I sincerely meant no disrespect—was just being flip (obv). Though, again, I shouldn't have said it at all. For background (no excuse), my mother is currently seeing an osteopath who's a vocal T supporter and an outright misogynist who refuses to accept her symptoms as legitimate. I suspect my irritation with him bled over.
I do think it's possible you may be giving T's new physician a little more credit than he may be due. He didn't have to agree to this arrangement, as far as I'm aware; he chose to. Why? It's blatantly harmful to the citizens of this country to deliberately minimize or dismiss the risks of this virus, or simply to dance a little jig attempting to pacify a dangerous patient who chooses to do so.
Wow, you guys have really been through it! (Besides just being the parents of twin toddlers, I mean.) My heart goes out to you both for this period of upheaval, and I'll be holding a vision for you that your career paths resolve soon—maybe even better than before.
For now, you're freaking lucky to be alive, man. So glad you're still here.
I completely agree that she lost her job to save my life. It wouldn't be that frustrating because she got a decent severence that will hold us for a while, but a lot of food manufacturers in the area are hesitant to bring people in to interview because covid is spiking locally. She did work in Illinois so she gets unemployment from there instead of the pennies they give you up here. Another bright spot is the trial/adoption process for our twins is put on hold for covid when it was supposed to be next week. With the delay, us both being currently without jobs won't hurt us since we're confident she will have something by the time we get to that point and I have a friend looking for marketing help that I can do for their newly acquired theme park starting around Xmas.

? ? ?
2020 has truly sucked for us, but we always look at the bright side. We've been thru a ton the last few months and haven't killed or divorced each other yet, as has happened with a lot of marriages since covid started. Actually we enjoy the relative calmness of life right now and we are some of the lucky people who don't have to stress about finances for the time being. If we can get a break from the kids for an afternoon or two it would be perfect.
Ok, my two cents on what is going on.
Methinks that Trump is in BIG TROUBLE.
As always, we are focused on Trump's callous behavior (refusing to sign a Covid-19 deal until after the election, his utter disregard for the suffering of Covid-19 survivors and relatives of those who died, etc.)
But there was some news that went practically undiscussed this week.
1. Eric Trump had to sit down for a disposition (basically, sworn testimony outside a courtroom setting) concerning Trump's companies and taxes. This occurred earlier this week and was conducted by the NY D.A.
2. Trump has pulled millions from ads in Iowa and Ohio. Which is bizarre considering that he is actually losing or is tied with Biden in many polls in those states. Trump is going to need all the electoral votes he can get, so why pull money now?
3. Finally, Trump making the announcement that he was suspending all negotiations for a Covid-19 deal until after the election. Why would he announce that? Would it not be better and remain silent? Consider this-if a deal is reached, Trump looks like the deal maker. If a deal can't be reached, he can blame the Democrats and Pelosi. But by announcing that he would not do a deal until after the election? Not only is he taking full blame for the debacle, but he is effectively holding the American people hostage, something they won't forgive him for. He already learned this lesson before when the government shut down and he (and the Republicans) got blamed for it.
So, why would he do this?
I have a theory, and it doesn't include his obvious mental problems and his cruelty.
I think that Trump is about to announce his resignation, and he is making sure to be as chaotic as possible.
Now, hear me out on this. Trump still believes he can win, and his latest stunts (downplaying the virus, refusing to do a deal, etc.) are designed to try to shore up his base so he hopes he can win. But he sees the clock ticking and knows he doesn't have much time left. Biden is now ahead in almost every single poll, and the early voting suggests that this will be the election with the highest turnout EVER!!!!!
And most of the voters dedicated to coming to the polls HATE Trump. And they will do whatever it takes to vote him out.
Eventually, he is going to get that (Even Fox News is saying it). And while he is hoping for a miracle, he is also planning a possible exit plan so that he can quit and leave (in his mind, anyway) as a winner instead of being labeled a "loser" by the American public. Call me crazy, but if the polls can be believed, then a blue wave election is imminent.
Now, the news about Eric Trump. This is important, because Trump can fill the hypothetical "noose" closing on him and his family. Not only state charges, but federal charges as well. So if he resigns and allows Pence to take over briefly, Pence can at least ensure that Trump and his family are pardoned from any past and/or present federal charges. This is the only scenario that will likely not be challenged in the Supreme Court. If, for example, Trump waits till after the election and then tries to pardon himself? Roberts will not allow this, and he will likely side with all the judges who ruled against Trump on his previous tax case. Think about it; if the Supreme Court ruled 7-2 saying that a sitting President can be investigated in a criminal case. Why would they then turn around and say that Trump has a right to pardon himself?
And you can forget about Trump staying on after the election, resigning, and then having Pence pardon him. While Nixon did this with Ford, it happened before the election, not after. So while it is possible, it could potentially still be challenged. If I were Trump's attorney (God forbid), I would advise the first option to ensure the least amount of legal challenge.
@allyn George Conway made a good point on Twitter. Trump may be pulling something similar to what Hitler did with the Nero Order, which meant to destroy the German infrastructure and make things as difficult as possible for the Allied Forces. His cabinet refused to carry it out. The GOP probably will, unfortunately.
Have you seen this Lincoln Project ad about Trump and his spreading of Covid?
It is called "Covita" and sung to the tune of Evita's "Don't Cry For me Argentina".

Maybe it's just me, but Vestralux's comments, and mine, were being made partly in jest, having fun, but also in the context that an osteopath is treating T.'s COVID, not an infectious disease specialist, which, it seems to me, ought to be the physician of choice?
Osteopaths are licensed medical doctors, yes, and that's great, but I don't want a proctologist taking out my kidney any more than I want neurologist giving me a root canal. Specialists are specialists and in the case of COVID, infectious disease specialists are who we need to hear from.
I also agree with Vestralux about Conley choosing to get up in front of the American people and tell lies about the health of the man pretending to be a real president. If you're going to lie for and indulge in cover-ups for this man, you deserve what you get. How far does this sh*t have to go before these sycophants take a stand? Seriously, do these people have no spines or self-respect? He is putting other people's lives at risk.
At the end of the day, you have to live with the person you are and I truly don't get these people.
That sounds promising indeed. The doors may have been shut but you found some open windows.
