@allyn I read your post to @cindy in what I believe was the spirit in which it was intended, which was as you described, "it's natural and human to feel what you're feeling about this, and no, you shouldn't feel bad about it".
@cindy, given all that you have suffered, I can absolutely understand why you might have misunderstood what @allyn wrote. When pain is still that close to the surface, even the softest and most gentle materials can cause irritation, and that pain can cloud one's vision..
I hope that you can both reconcile this between you.
As for BLM and everything else, of course people were upset about both the looting and the situation that instigated it. There is good reason to be upset about both, but while one cannot separate the effects from the cause, one can definitely separate the actors from the actions. Many of those looting were provably not protestors but incendiary agents, and most protesting were provably not looters, but people angry with the situation and the over the top response of law enforcement.
I dont think he specifically lied, but worded his statement to be misleading. Someone from the WH told the press pool that DT was on oxygen at the WH before he left to Reed. The Dr said he wasn't on it Thursday nor was he on it when he was at Reed, omitting the time when he was on it.
He does seem to be feeling better right now, as he is back to tweeting again.
As a follow up to my last post they are now trying to track the 100 or so donors who the clown met with Thursday. Oh my this is surely turning into a $hit show! But as my current favorite bumper sticker says “ if you vote for a clown you have to expect a circus.
@mas1581, he's blessed to be receiving stellar healthcare and the most advanced drug treatments available. Most people who have fallen ill with this disease have not been as fortunate.
With all the crazy Covid symptoms out there, why doesn't that virus affect one's twitter fingers?
@lawrence then someone finally figured out how to get the caps right on his tweets after 3 1/2 years.
@deetoo he is getting top notch care that most don't have access to, but he is also using experimental drug cocktails that have had minimal testing. With his questionable health at best, that can lead to disaster.
It is also funny that HCQ hasn't been used considering he was such a strong proponent of it publically
Those donors are pissed. Theyre all scared they have it, as most are older and they are just finding out Trump knew he had tested positive when he exposed them to it maskless. Out of his whole asinine presidency(and life), that was the absolute stupidest thing he has ever done. He just turned billions in GOP against him.
When I first came to this community, your posts spoke so deeply to me. How you would write about your beautiful daughter and your experiences fighting for changes in the aftermath of such grief and loss. I learned so much from you, from your grace, compassion and love. From your willingness to share all that you had learned with a bunch you had never met, for the greater good.
And then that horrible day in Pittsburg occurred, when the cousin of my dear family friend/ "aunt" was shot and killed at the synagogue while attending services. In my shock and grief for her, you reached out so compassionately to me. This happened the same week a mass shooting occurred in California and left the son of my husband's childhood friend dead and dear friends fleeing for their lives in the same area from wildfire. You even told me what to expect regarding the press and how to navigate through those dark days of loss so that I could share those helpful words with my aunt. Cindy, you swooped down like an angel and filled my spirit with unexpected peace and love and did so with such grace. I will never forgot it.
Thank you for reminding us of the responsibility we have to each other, and the need to be mindful of how our words can both heal or open wounds, raise up or bring down our family members here and in our everyday world.
The compassion you have shown your parents as they battled their mental and physical illnesses, issues covid presented in dealing with their needs, their passion for Trump and abusive nature and your continued strength in helping them. You challenged me to view of my world a bit differently, approach challenging people in a new light (when possible) and gain a fuller understanding about the depths of true love. You showed me about hope and its ability to inspire through the darkest of times. You showed me love has no bounds and that even though a beloved child can be lost, they can be found yet again in a new and unexpected way.
I hope you will feel more comfortable here in the future. I miss your visits and all the beauty they inspire. While I have found this community to be a light in this dark time, you have reminded us all we can be more than what we are currently
Thank you for that reminder.
Thank you for contributing so much to our community recently. I love your enthusiasm and reading your thoughts. I also appreciate your reflective post above clarifying your earlier post and reaching out to one of our dear members. There is much beauty to be found in reaching out to others.
Times are dark and scary. We are all blessed when we can find light to guide us through and forward.
We are spiritual beings who are having a human experience, and that's not usually sweetness and light -- it's messy. -- @deetoo
So well stated. So beautiful. Perhaps you are uncomfortable with the term "light worker" because you see your own humanity and you feel you fall short. In my view, that is exactly the kind of sentiment a true light worker would have.
My definition of "light worker" does not mean angel. To me it has always meant someone who wants to help others. They are people who care about humanity, about alleviating suffering, about fairness and honesty. Many have suffered traumas growing up in this messy world, so they can be reactive and they can get triggered and inadvertently hurt people. But they try to grow and evolve.
It goes back to the early vision I had about the difficult future we all faced and the beings who would try to help people get through it. The helpers are the light workers, and we all, including me, need to evolve. We will climb that cliff. We are climbing it now. It is going to be a steep climb. At the top is a plateau, a new higher plane of existence that the human race has to reach to survive climate change. We will help each other get up there, and then we will help the rest.
The dialogue that has ensued since @Cindy posted is one of light workers. Thank you, @cindy.
I don't know why I don't enjoy watching that horrible man suffer. God knows it isn't that I'm better than someone who wants him to suffer. I want them all held accountable for their crimes. I want their stolen money, all of it, to go to those they have hurt. I want them to serve time. I think that those who enjoy thinking of him suffer are simply responding to the need for balance.
Welcome to our community Georgia, glad you chose to post.
Thank you for sharing your experience on meditation regarding Trump. I have not heard of a similar experience like yours, how intriguing. I am sure it made you see him and all people in a new light.
LOL! My family says I'm like Snowball from Secret Life of Pets. I alternate between "JAB JAB JAB! Body blow, body blow!!" and "Oh, this is bad!! Well, at least we die together!" ?
Here's a terrifying thought-he's long gone but that d#mned hand continues to tweet. Like Thing from The Addams Family on social media!
There have been so many posts I this thread I may have missed it but did anyone mention that Christie has now tested positive?
Also adding this to the timing confusion:
Standing outside Walter Reed, the president’s doctors said he was “72 hours into the diagnosis,” even though Trump had only announced his positive coronavirus test late Thursday evening, after attending a fundraiser in New Jersey. Another doctor treating the president, Dr. Brian Garibaldi, said had been treated “48 hours” ago — Thursday morning — with antibodies.
Good Grief! This is really bad. They can't even get on the same page, but it all points to an earlier diagnosis. If true, how dare he!!
Additionally, there would need to be major consult time with doctors on the treatment, so if it was Thursday morning for the treatment, he new way earlier. If it wasn't, what the heck is going on with timelines and are doctors working on assumptions that are not true. Meaning are they being told one time and working on that assumption but the reality is different? That can be problematic for treatment procedures I would think.
Could he be forced to resign over knowingly being about while being infected?
What are the chances of a lawsuit? ( Huge I would think)
Also, if Christie is positive, who knows how long ago Trump was contagious.
@polarberry and @yogagirl
To everyone,
I honestly feel like you all are family. Yogagirl, I had noticed you hadn't been around as much and was thinking of you. I love your posts.
I read stuff here I don't agree with sometimes but everyone feels differently about things and that's ok. If families got along all the time, Thanksgiving would be very boring lol.
I've said before I don't actively wish this virus on anyone, but in Donnie and Melania's case, I've got to go with It is what it is and I don't really care, do u? There has not been one word of empathy from either of them to the families who have lost a loved one due to their lies.
He covered up a deadly pandemic to save his own ass.
I just want to say "ditto" to what Polarberry said! I also love reading Yogagirl's posts. As a matter of fact, they are not only interesting but sometimes funny in their delivery. I especially loved the one when you described why folks in Kentucky vote for Moscow Mitch. Anyway, just love all your posts. I enjoy hearing everyone's different points of view.
I loved Forrest Gump's point of view: " “My mom always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.”
Well it just so happens my mom used to say "Life and friends are like a bowl of nuts. You don't want to eat just the peanuts".
? ? ? ❤️
@georgia - thank you for your post. I remember years ago being very angry and frustrated with a certain individual close to me. At the time I just went on and on about what a horrible person he was. Ruined so much . And someone said to me what if I told you that he agreed to come back to play this role so you could learn from it. He had all ready learned the lesson but knew you needed to in this lifetime so he agreed to play that part. He also had lessons to learn for himself but this one was for you. Hearing that changed everything for me. It was someone very close to me in my family. So I think of it as one of my personal lessons. I feel DT is a lesson for the collective. There are smaller scale DT’s around but the collective needed to see it BIG and BOLD so we could change and be ready.
