Giuliani got his law license suspended. the former personal lawyer for former President Donald Trump who once held one of the legal profession's most prestigious jobs, was suspended Thursday from practicing law in New York state by an appellate court that found he made "demonstrably false and misleading statements"
about the 2020 election.
In a ruling released following disciplinary proceedings, the court concluded that "there is uncontroverted evidence" that Giuliani, the former Manhattan US attorney, "communicated demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers and the public at large in his capacity as lawyer for former President Donald J. Trump and the Trump campaign in connection with Trump's failed effort at reelection in 2020."
Happy Friday Afternoon! Merrick Garland announced today that the DOJ is suing George re voter suppression.
@jessi1978 Last year we were waiting and praying for the time when a new Administration would un-do the plainly fascist actions of the T administration. We have many visions posted that this un-doing would occur. But it is quite another thing to actually see it unfolding. I am so happy to see Guilianni disbarred. I have a list of others I would like to see also taken down, like Barr for a number of offenses starting with his shut down and cover up of the Mueller Report.
The Trump organization is likely looking at charges by next week.
Former President Donald Trump's namesake company is expecting to face criminal charges as soon as next week after a nearly two-year investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News.
In a meeting Thursday, prosecutors told attorneys representing the Trump Organization that they expected to bring charges related to fringe benefits given to certain employees -- ranging from cars and apartments to school tuition -- over a period of several years.
@theungamer
Yep. And the court landed on the docket of a Trumpista judge, which means he'll rule for GA and the DOJ will have to appeal, it will take years and the law won't be overturned in time for the midterms.
I have a plan with a couple of old college friends - if the law stands, we'll absentee vote in our own districts and go down to GA to hand out food and water to people waiting in line. One of us owns a food truck!
