Michael Avenatti, Stormy Daniels former lawyer, has been sentenced to 2.5 years in prison for attempting to extort Nike for more than 20 million dollars.

He still has a Federal case which goes to court soon for defrauding Daniels out of money for her book deal.  He is also accused of defrauding a mentally ill paraplegic.  How far he has fallen.

He cried when sentenced.

If you do the crime, you must pay the time- even if you cry dude.

At least Michael Avenatti realized that he was his own worst demon. He told the court, “ I betrayed my own values, my friends, my family and myself," he said. "I, and I alone, have destroyed my career, my relationships, my life.". I’m glad someone is taking responsibility for their actions.

Good Afternoon Everyone, I saw a twitter posting from Adam Schiff a Cal representative re 4th July weekend re gun violence not taking a holiday. 500 shootings, 618 injuries, 233 deaths 1 weekend.

Its probably a silly idea but whenever I hear of a massacre etc over in America it comes into my mind that you need this song The Voice and to start to believe the words. In 1986 John Farnham released The Voice and Australia loved it and it became a sort of unofficial anthem. We knew the words. In 1997 when we had the massacre at Port Arthur penal colony historical area in Tasmania it shocked us, it was were we went on holidays and for the history of it. I myself had been there in 1996, I still have the postcards I bought from the Cafe there, where a lot of the shootings were. Ironically the people on the Isle of the Dead were the safest. To John Howard's (the Prime Minister) lasting credit he brought in legislation for Gun Control, it was drawn up debated and passed within 12 days. A buyback of peoples guns went ahead. I sometimes wonder if the words of the song had seeped into our consciousness and we accepted the idea and that was why it got done. Possibly a fanciful thought on my part.

The Words of The Voice are

We have the chance, to turn the pages over, We can write what we want to write. We gotta make the ends meet, before we get much older, We're all someone's daughter, We're someone's son. How long can we look at each other Down the barrel of a gun?

Chorus You're the voice, try and understand it, Make a noise and make it clear, We're not gonna sit in silence, We're not gonna live with fear, This time, we know we can all stand together, with the power to be powerful, Believing, we can make it better, We're all someone's daughter, we're all someone's son, How long can we look at each other Down the barrel of a gun?

If you want to see a video of John singing a powerful one is him with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra You can search on you tube by putting in John Farnham The Voice

Regards to everyone

Take Care

Yeah there has been a lot of stuff happening here in the U.K. I’m glad I’m not the only one who notices the extremes happening in the U.K. People know how I feel about it. Sometimes it might seem a whole world away for some but that doesn’t mean stuff isn’t happening.

Edit: I've added an update to the UK political thread about it all here: https://www.jeannemayell.com/community/international-predictions/uk-political-future/#post-47595

Reading the Guardian's "First Thing" report this am with coffee as usual and saw this headline: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/jul/15/first-thing-kremlin-papers-appear-show-putin-plot-put-trump-power

I strongly feel that this is accurate , and that Putin cultivated the orange one. He used its time in office to hack and gain a lot of info. He knew how to flatter and manipulate its big ego. I think people will be horrified when they learn just how much access was actually gained/granted through those 4 years. Joe Biden knows exactly who, and what, Putin is. I pray this circumvents and repairs much of the damage done by previous occupants of the White House.

I've got a question related to the Great Unraveling/Turning.

I recall it being said that those who could not deal with it and/or were needed in other dimensions would "check out" of this one.  Or something along those lines.   I would like some clarification.

I've lost two first cousins and a brother in the last 18 months--  All three were sudden, natural deaths not attributable to COVID.  They were all in their 60's or early 70's.  (And the person in early 70's was in excellent shape--- lean, active, ostensibly healthy).  People in my family don't usually pass this early.  I used to have seven first cousins- now I have five.

And we've lost family cats.  Collectively, my siblings and I owned ten cats at the beginning of 2020.  We lost FIVE of the cats last year.  Two were old (15 and 20) but the other three were not.

It's gotten to the point where I'm wondering who's next.  I do not fear death as I see it simply as a transition to another state of being, but I feel great sadness for those loved ones who are left behind to mourn their loss.

Anyway, I was wondering if others are observing similar things and whether this could be an example of people (and cats) checking out due to the Turning.  Perhaps the cats are transitioning so they can assist from the other side.

On this site, I have been seeing posts saying that truth and justice will come out and prevail. However, I have heard that Trumpists will not accept the truth and will live within their bubble. Will the supporters fall into the fringes when people embrace the light energy?

@enkasongwriter. You have asked it well, "Will the supporters fall into the fringes when people embrace the light energy?"

Light energy is simply truth. So the answer is ultimately yes. But the answer is complex, because humans are variable and some will always fall into the fringes. But truth, which is light, ultimately does prevail because truth is beautiful and nourishing and humans need beauty. All of nature loves truth.

As for those who will fall into the fringes, there will always be supporters who won't change their views and they will fall into the fringe. Today there are still people who embrace Hitler, but today Germany is one of the most progressive countries in the world. Today there are still people who believe, no matter what, that we should have invaded Iraq and Vietnam, even though the prevailing thinking is now that it was a mistake.  There are those out there who still believe in the old Confederacy.

The extreme Right is now fighting harder than ever to reclaim power in the U.S. and these battles are not over yet. When Biden announced the payments to families with children, I could feel the outrage coming from the Right.  GOP consultants will search out and find anecdotes of families who will not appear to deserve those payments so they can further enrage their followers and embarrass Biden. So it goes.

But the idea that excess should flow to where there is not enough, is a basic truth of nature. It's simply balance. Under Reagan, Clinton, Bush I and II, and Trump, money flowed from the poor and middle class to the ultra rich.  So that imbalance will now begin to rectify itself.

Also, the country's youth are coming of age and they are more progressive as a whole. And I haven't even mentioned  how a warming planet will wake up people to the truth.

I agree that a lot of this certainly seems plausible (and even likely), but I feel like I should caution against wholesale acceptance of this report at face value. The implication is that this report was leaked by someone in the Kremlin, packaged up all neat and tidy, tying up all of the loose ends of a potential international political scandal with lovely, pretty bow.

That ain't how the Kremlin works. Leaks of this nature, especially of this kind of somewhat explosive material, just don't happen. If this is being "leaked" it's for a reason, and frankly, as I said above, it's just too neatly packaged, and far too convenient that it happens at this point in time. I'm not suggesting there isn't any truth there, but I would be cautious about swallowing it hook, line, and sinker. I want to see what the US intelligence services have to say about it before I judge the full veracity of it.

Agree as well after seeing what some of the experts’ reaction was. I still believe he is beholden to Putin though and the psychological description of him is perfect

@ana First, I am so sorry for all of your losses recently. Like you said, you don't fear death, but it sure it hard to endure the loss of people and pets that we love and we miss them dearly.

That is a really interesting question you raised about people or pets who are needed on the other side or can't handle what is coming "checking out." Something about that resonates with me. I have no idea if that is what is happening, but I think it could be possible? I often wonder that about my mother, who passed in the spring of 2019. My sister, brother and I often talk about how glad (?) we were that she went before all the stuff with COVID. Not sure how she would have handled all of that. Maybe that is just us rationalizing and trying to understand our own grief (putting a 'purpose' on it...), but maybe it is a bit of both? Truth in her exit timing for both her own soul reasons and truth in our interpretation of the timing?

@cc21   I'm sorry for the loss of your mother.   One of my cousins who passed away did so in January 2020, just before COVID hit.  She was a very unhappy, somewhat unstable person, and I'm sure 2020 would have completely driven her over the edge.  (We all wished she would have accepted help for her problems but she refused.)  So for her it was likely a mercy that she transitioned when she did.  She was only 60.

But my other family members were fairly happy people, doing well, and they'd gotten through the worst of 2020 when they passed.   I know there are more upheavals coming and it is my thought that if theire passing had anything to do with the unraveling/turning, it was because they are going to be helpers on the other side.   (Same for the cats!)

I'd  love to hear some more opinions and ideas about the concept as well as any other similar experiences.

@iridium Hi I don't buy into that idea at all, but on the off chance I am wrong, I would prefer to hang around to see how it evolves. Mind you I am saying that being in my 70's and not as a young person so not likely to be here when it is much worse.

Kind regards

@ana

Hi Ana, I just wanted to say how sorry I am for your many losses. My heart is with you. I will send lots of love and light to you. ?

In reference to your question, I'm not sure, however I can tell you this story. My dearest friend Sue (who passed away in 2004 and was like a sister to me) was a psychic medium. She told me she used to do "work at night" helping people to cross over (sorta like an Angel of death I guess). She died in December 2004, but a week before she died she told me she was going to die. She told me she was needed to help a lot of people very shortly. I was angry she even said this, but she did pass away of a heart attack.  Shortly after she died, the Indonesian Tsunami hit and wiped out about 100K people. A light bulb went off and I knew now she was there for those people.

My friend always spoke of times that folks leave and transition and that there are reasons abound. Some leave because they only signed up for a certain time/lesson/etc. Whenever I would ask her questions about what things would transpire for me, she would answer some, but she sometimes  would say to me "It's your movie pumpkin".  I love and miss her all the time. ❤️ ?

Yogagirl,

I'm sorry; I don't have the link, but did you see that clip of Rand Paul at his televised town hall? Some woman called in and said,  "Hi Senator, I'm a proud Kentucky citizen and I'd just like to tell you to get f*cked!"

The look on his face. I was ?

I'm conflicted by this story: https://www.newsweek.com/matt-gaetz-marjorie-taylor-greene-interrupted-protesters-shouting-during-briefing-1613654

On the one hand, it's always satisfying when the bullies get a dose of their own medicine.

On the other hand, it definitely flies in the face of "when they go low, we go high" and may in fact give Marjorie Three Names and "forehead guy" ammo with their shrinking but still loud base.

@polarberry But the look on the girl’s face was priceless. You could see she was wondering what to do next! I watched it and couldn’t stop laughing. Even thinking of it now has me laughing out loud.
