I'm a Pisces and a dreamer but I can't help but wish those 3 Angels I saw back in 1994 would have appeared to the whole house of representatives today...looking down at them all while they voted.

Lovendures: looks like your image about DJT being taken out by a donkey was spot on! ?

See a need for a clarification:

The vote this morning was not a yes or no for impeachment.

It was a yes/no vote for the House to formalize the impeachment inquiry and subsequent processes.

Don't put your cart before the horses*, y'all!

(*or in this case, donkeys)

Hello , i just felt the need to clarify something..  A couple of days ago, when i said that if T should fry in "the chair",  i would bring the marshmallows?- well, that was just an expression of my outrage.      I mean,  i don't even eat marshmallows.           Unless they are vegan marshmallows.       But i would never spend 5 dollars on a bag of vegan marshmallows, like they do at Whole Foods        hehheh                   Happy Halloween Everybody!

Treat yourself; it's Halloween!!

They're called Smashmallows and they are at WF's, but you can also buy them at Target and I think W-M.  Or online. 3.99 on sale.

They are vegan and awesome!  Strawberries Cream and Toasted Vanilla are the best. Cinnamon Churro and Mint Chocolate Chip are pretty good too.

Avoid the Pumpkin Pie flavor though.  Awful.  Donnie Twitler in marshmallow form.

Agree.  My response to that ridiculous comment was that he is a FAILED businessman, not to mention a conman. And a BS artist extraordinaire.

Hi, I do not see what you were replying to from me;  no big deal but I don't see that I have posted in this thread for quite some time.

Priceless intro by Nicolle Wallace for one of her TV segments today:

The gum on the bottom of our shoes -- D** T* in New York City.  It looks like we might finally be rid of him.

In case you haven't heard, Twitler is changing his primary residence from NYC to Florida.  And here is Gov. Cuomo's response:

He's all yours, Florida.

I saw Nancy Pelosi on Colbert, the comic news show, but she wasn't being funny. She talked about how sad she was to have to be in the impeachment process; how sad she is that the president has behaved in a way that the Congress has to do something about him.

Does anyone have some hopeful thoughts about this?  I want to go forward with full awareness of what Gop is planning. Then I want to go high up into the heavens and look down at  the whole battle ahead with equanimity and perspective. And then I want to send strength to Pelosi, the dems and any Republicans who can muster up their bravery.

@deetoo As a NYC resident, we are thrilled to get him out of our city. Good riddance. Nicole said it perfectly.

I want to be hopeful as well. I'm afraid this might turn around. I don't know how, but they think John Bolton will probably protect him to a point. And then there are people saying it's not impeachable - well, what about the rest of what he's done? The other thing is, he's giving money to Republican re-election campaigns. They don't look like they're going to cross over to the good side any time soon. Everyone says, after a certain point they can't defend him. How many times have we already passed that point, and they still defended him. Then employment went up. I don't see how that can possibly be, but that's the news. It's probably low-level jobs but who knows. Someone last night said the senators work for the people - we know they don't - and that people when they hear the testimony will want answers etc. Not in red states, I don't believe it. What I see is tons of people being put in jail, fined, losing their careers, all except him. And one last thing - apparently the Democrats are so far behind the Republicans in fundraising it's ridiculous.

I watched Nancy Pelosi on Colbert last night and am hopeful. The strength and courage I am seeing in women is extraordinary. Many are absolutely fearless! My sense is this administration is afraid of Nancy Pelosi. I loved her last statement, You have to be able to take a punch, and to throw a punch..for the children.

I think Americans for the most part have been lazy when it comes to our Constitution. After listening to her, I am inspired to go back and review our Constitution finding additional work that people in our country are engaged in that I can learn from.

I have had it with the good old boy mentality. Their  time is up. We are moving forward. Regardless of what happens, we are moving forward, men & women alike. We will find a way and it won’t be through lies, hate and violence. Love wins!

@jeanne-mayell, What’s that phrase, “forewarned is forearmed?”  For too long many  Americans have had their heads in the clouds, thinking either “it can’t happen here,” or “T. can’t possibly win.”  Even back in the 2016 race, when Obama would often say “I have faith in the American people to make the right decision,” I would sometimes think to myself, “I'm not so sure ... you’re too idealistic, Mr. President”.  I wasn’t sure Hillary would win.   It just wasn’t an intuitive feeling I had about Clinton; it was the power of the media and the messaging.  It really frightened me.  And then overnight, Reality TV became our Real-life Nightmare.

I hope by now that everyone understands the fallacy and danger in that line of thinking.  Yes, the Repubs are already planning their strategy, and it will be twisted and dirty.  They don’t seem to care about the Constitution or our democracy, which makes them even more dangerous.  Sure, most of them disdain T., but ultimately all they care about are the polls and remaining in office -- and for those Rs also involved in his nefarious deeds, being found out.   We can’t do much right now about the latter, but we can do something about educating people to the truth, and the threat we are under.  And that’s what will make the Dems successful, even if the Senate doesn’t boot him out of office.  It’s up to the Dems to control the narrative and be strategic in their truth-telling.  And PLEASE keep it simple!  If they can do that, it will negate a lot of what the Reps will be spinning.

So that’s what I’m going to pray for:  that the Dems be divinely guided in how they move forward over this next year.  Because ultimately, we need to win in the upcoming elections – whether or not T completes this term in office.

What he has been caught doing is impeachable. Much of what he has done has been locked up by his team, which means there are likely even more offenses, if Congress can unlock them.  (The Mueller report also had findings that are impeachable.  Barr covered it up and spinned it away, but the evidence of actions made before the Ukraine behavior is still in the Mueller report.)

So what's impeachable?

This article by a Constitutional Law professor who wrote a book about Trump's impeachable offenses may help.

Lol!!! I am not laughing at you, but with you! Embarrassingly enough I work for a tech company!!  I can relate!

And Jeanne: the repubs remind me of that movie: Weekend at Bernie' s, where they kept propping up the dead body (Bernie). It's like DJT is Bernie. So he could be sick, dead, crazy,-- doesn't matter -- they would still prop him up!!

tonight I watched Chris Cuomo on CNN. He likes to have Republicans on - you should have heard them. First of all, two of the people on the oversight committee - Republicans - are running to the White House after testimony and apparently blabbing it, totally against every rule. Well, this guy tonight said the following: 1) Democrats have been after the Trumps since he got into office; 2) he never asked for a quid pro quo; 3) he should have representation during the depositions even though no one has ever had it; 4) he has done nothing impeachable; and my favorite 5) it's okay to make private business deals for your own businesses when you're President. This is their spin. I agree with all of you, what he did is impeachable, but I don't know if the Senate - now that he is giving them all money for re-election (i.e. bribing them) is going to think this all rises to the level of impeachment. I heard some people speak very nobly on Nicolle Wallace's show - these guys won't want to be in the history books 50 years from now as not standing up for what is right - well, Nicolle, once a Republican herself said, "I'm not optimistic."

I'm sorry; I should have included your reply.  I said that I don't understand how people can't see who and what he is, and you said that as a nation, we are conditioned to idealize the powerful and wealthy, and that the people you know who support him are suck-ups.

I actually think that's one of, if not his greatest fear, even more so than going to prison, is for people to find out how cash-poor he truly is.  Failed business after failed business, bankruptcies, and apparently, little understanding of or desire to learn economic fundamentals.  It's all about appearances for him.  His insecurity runs deep.
