Mark my words: the Orange One will resign right before the Impeachment vote goes through in the House to save face. I don't think it is impossible that the Senate will vote to remove him -- I suspect they are getting sick of defending him and would much prefer Pence. Perhaps the Orange One will be soon buying a one way ticket to Moscow?

@unk-p

I find it hard to believe that this was "butt-dialing". Maybe like unk-p quoted Nicholas Grossman, Giuliani's phone has been bugged, or someone else recorded this but prefers (with good reason) to stay anonymous. The "butt-dialing" explanation might just be a cover to protect the secret of how this got out to the media.

I posted this in the predictions coming through section since someone had made a prediction of chants for impeachment in front of Congress, but thought I'd post it here as well, as it made my heart soar to hear the chants of "Lock Him Up" at the World Series when Trump and his Congressional henchmen were announced tonight.   Watch the videos -- this is the antidote to the horrible Trump rallies.

Tonight (October 27) Trump attended the World Series.  With him were Matt Gaetz, Lindsey Graham, Liz Cheney and a number of other Republicans from Congress and the Senate.

When the announcer said that Trump was there, the crowd first booed and then began to chant - loudly and in unison - "Lock Him Up! Lock Him Up!"  for several minutes

Here is one link to this story, with videos:

It was awesome. He really think he is beloved everywhere.  Just a stark reminder that only a small percentage of this country tolerates you. How about behind home plate there was a banner: Veterans for Impeachment.

House Democrats will hold a vote to push forward with the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi confirmed Monday.

This week, we will bring a resolution to the Floor that affirms the ongoing, existing investigation that is currently being conducted by our committees as part of this impeachment inquiry," Pelosi said in a dear colleague letter made public Monday.

This resolution establishes the procedure for hearings that are open to the American people, authorizes the disclosure of deposition transcripts, outlines procedures to transfer evidence to the Judiciary Committee as it considers potential articles of impeachment, and sets forth due process rights for the President and his Counsel," Pelosi wrote.

In her letter Monday, Pelosi notes that Democrats are "taking this step to eliminate any doubt as to whether the Trump Administration may withhold documents, prevent witness testimony, disregard duly authorized subpoenas, or continue obstructing the House of Representatives."

Trump is insulated from the outside world.  He surrounds himself with Yes men.  No one challenges his beliefs.  He only believes Fox News, and only because they are nice to him (and don't report embarrassing stories about him).  It's been said that his polling numbers are being skewed.  He only goes out to Rallies, where his supporters are concentrated.

I'm hoping he noticed the boos and chants and signs yesterday.  I hope it shakes his world a bit, because maybe it will cause him to "wake up".  He's being told that everything is OK and he is beloved...that his detractors are a vocal minority.  But yesterday was a vocal majority in that stadium.  I hope it resonates with him that his current path is doomed.

Nah this would never happen. It is said that the rally people are paid to go. He is just going to another rally and be beloved again and all would be forgotten and also Fox News edited the boos. So all is right in his small world.

This is not his Facebook account just an account that makes fun of him

I just have to say that there are a lot more idiots in the GOP house/senate than I thought. I always took them as mostly intelligent, but spineless and self serving, so they choose to defend an indefensible Trump to keep votes. Now Im beginning to question that.

Judgr Howell just officially legitimized the inquiry Friday, yet Nancy is agreeing to a vote all of a sudden today? Even a blind man can see that she has a plan with this move and it will only end in her favor. Some Republicans are refusing to comment but there are a lot out there talking about how great transparency would be and how its about time they voted. This is the political equivalent of running head first into a buzzsaw. Are they really too dumb to realize that something happened over the weekend/today that Pelosi wants public? My guess is Sondland saved his ass from perjury and rolled over on DT, but it might be more. The vote lets this all get released and theres obviously something Nancy desperately wants released now that she didnt have on Friday.

The vote today was to adopt a resolution confirming the necessity of an ongoing inquiry, and laying out the hows and whens of public hearings.  Not even close to voting to approve Articles of Impeachment to send to the Senate yet.

Sondeland (sp) - his attorney made it clear he is not going to take any rap for Trump. While in NYC this weekend, we met a cab driver from Colombia who believes that Trump is the greatest president who ever lived because he's getting rid of those horrible immigrants who just want money and then leave. And as far as the kids in cages, Obama decided that. So you see, idiots abound.

I understand its not a vote on the articles and is a vote to establish the inquiry. With that vote, though, it gives the ability to release transcripts to the public, and its what the GOP has been attacking as basis of an illegitimate inquiry for weeks. Pelosi's flip on her stance to vote, after Howell legitimized the inquiry in a court ruling on Friday, is either to appease the GOP(yea right) or its because she has something up her sleeve she wants released publically.

@suspira44

Theres plenty of Trump supporters that are idiots, always has been. The house and senate GOP members are what I was commenting on. I assumed they were intelligent and just playing the political game to save their own asses over doing what is right. With many coming out trying to attack Pelosi for changing her stance on the vote, they have proven to be just as dumb as many supporters because she would never make this move from a position of weakness or one trying to appease the GOP, especially after being vindicated by the Judiciary a few days ago.

I think Pelosi's strategy is also to start getting GOP NO votes on the congressional record, this would be the first of several House votes related to Impeachment. I don't think it's to appease anyone.

That thought crossed my mind, but if that were the only case, she wouldve had the vote weeks ago when she had enough to pass. There is something more here. I think something truly damning has recently come in the hands of Pelosi and Shifty Shiff. I kinda like that name in a positive way. Does that make the rest of the Dem house the "funky bunch?" My apologies to any millineals or baby boomers in here who dont get that reference. ?

Tomorrow testimony is going to be first hand knowledge of the call on 7/25

"The testimony of Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman before the House Foreign Affairs, Intelligence and Oversight committees Tuesday will mark the first time lawmakers investigating the impeachment inquiry will hear from someone who listened to Trump's July 25 call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky" ...

"'I was concerned by the call," Vindman wrote in the opening statement. 'I did not think it was proper to demand that a foreign government investigate a U.S. citizen, and I was worried about the implications for the U.S. government’s support of Ukraine.'"

Agree.  This seems like it was always Pelosi's plan - when she announced the inquiry back in mid-September, she made it clear that it was important to "strike while the iron is hot" and I see this vote as just part of doing that.

The thought also occurred to me that she may be trying to get ahead of the new Barr-sponsored investigation into the Mueller investigation.   That seems designed to make FBI/CIA/National Security types - all of whom may ultimately play a role in the impeachment inquiry - look untrustworthy.

So, I'm wondering if this is a race to get things done before that can go too far.

Just to add another thought: I feel like she is also now trying to get things done before Christmastime and I feel like she wants to remove Trump or neuter him as quickly as possible because he can do so much more damage (i.e. Kurds in Ukraine). And lets not forget the money trail (the taxes) as soon as she has the damning evidence she needs she is going to "whack a mole" the Orange nightmare!

My worry is she must know that the Cheetolini is not doing this alone, not just talking about Putin, but she must know there are many GOPers in Washington who are so complicit and actually behind the Cheetolini. (I think DJT is not smart enough to have done anything the past 3-4 years without a lot of help and backing of not only Putin) ...I wonder how that part plays out in all this.

There is no question in my mind that Trump and Melania were mortified during the booing, especially since he'd just announced the capture of the ISIS leader that very day and probably thought he'd get a great reception like Obama did after bin Laden was killed.

But Fox News reported the boos as being from a partisan crowd, which it was.    90% of DC voters voted for Hillary in 2016. Still I think it must have shaken him.

Yes, trump turned to Melania and through clenched teeth, told her to smile. They both had these  fake smiles pasted on their faces while the chant went on.
