@jeanne and @seeker

not sure if you read the article yesterday but Kavanaugh made a mistake on Vermont’s election rules.  If this keeps up it could a downward spiral for him.  I enjoyed you visions thank you for sharing.

@share Was going to post something similar! Would not be shocked if he takes himself down by his own sloppiness. If that's possible.

@jeanne-mayell and @seeker4, now you've got me laughing ... I can't get that picture of the Alan Baldwin "O" mouth out of my head!

@jeanne-mayell, I agree about Kavanaugh coming across as a child. I see him as a spoiled  adolescent boy who never takes responsibility and always blames the other guy.

I don't see him growing into his role as SC Justice ... what I mean is, I don't see him as a senior, sitting on that high court.  Never have.

There is a prediction, I think from Bin, "Kavanaugh will be investigated." I keep going back to it because I can't shake the feeling that it's about a future investigation of him and not his confirmation hearing. He lied and it can be proven he lied. Kamala isn't done with him.

Assuming you're correct (I've heard this as well, but haven't taken the time to look into it), I think that might well be grounds for impeachment and removal.  Perjury is definitely in the category of "high crimes and misdemeanors", especially for someone on a court bench.

@jeanne-mayell thank you for the warm welcome! I have to admit, I've been lurking for the last year or so, but the discussions here are so great so hopefully I can add where I can :)

@lynnventura

This jumped up today.I’m happy to report that I’ve felt increasingly better about 2 days after the election. I believed Biden was going to win and was able to mark off one big stressor off my list....that America would survive the attempt by one very sick person to turn an attempt to make this a dictatorship under a fascist.

More music, a lot less news. More closer times with my partner. More talking about other things, good things. Waking up knowing he’s soon going to be gone, not thinking about him hours a day.

Thanks for your support during all that madness.
Anita

It's all starting to come together. Not that any of it will be easy. We all know the dark forces that inhabit the GOP as a whole and many republican politicians can't be ignored, but for now we can have some hope.

Yesterday Biden nominated Alejandro Mayorkas to lead DHS. He ran USCIS under Obama and is an excellent pick. He's the son of Cuban refugees, and his mother was a Romanian Jew who moved to Cuba fleeing persecution. This was his twitter announcement:

"When I was very young, the United States provided my family and me a place of refuge. Now, I have been nominated to be the DHS Secretary and oversee the protection of all Americans and those who flee persecution in search of a better life for themselves and their loved ones."

To read his reference to people fleeing persecution really made me feel like we've turned a huge page.

Cheers all!
