AMEN! Democrats need to not only take power, but they need to make sure that Republicans are never in a position to abuse their power again. Possible avenues are the following:
1. Pass laws that makes it mandatory for Presidential candidates to release taxes before the election. ...
2. Get rid of the gerrymandering that Republicans have used to win districts. ...
3. Add two Justices to the bench to both punish Republicans for the way they stole two seats and to ensure that the court is evenly balanced.
4. Consider adding DC and Puerto Rico as states. ...
5. STOP APOLOGIZING! ...
6. Consider getting rid of the Electoral College. ...
7. Expand our power. ...
Another law that seems important to add going forward is to require all presidential candidates to be able to pass a background investigation for at least Secret clearance, if not Top Secret. I'd say this should be the case for any candidate running for Congress as well. Do you know if Congress people already have to pass a security clearance in order to serve on e.g. intelligence committees that look at classified information? I'd always assumed they had gone through clearance, but was shocked to learn recently that elected members of congress do not need to apply for clearance.

Oh gosh, judicial impeachments and constitutional amendments would require 2/3 of the Senate (or the states, in the case of amendments), and would almost certainly fail for the same reasons Trump's impeachment did.
I would say the best things a pres. Biden and blue Congress could do to rebalance things in the first year is to recognize DC and Puerto Rico, and to pass a comprehensive federal court reform.
As for the electoral college, that seems more likely to happen by interstate compact, which doesn't require DC or supermajorities.
I saw a piece of an interview with Anita Hill. She was asked if she would work with Biden . I have to find the clip . Her response was something like - you have to work with who’s in charge and if it’s Biden so be it. Anyone see this interview? She looks very different now. Modern/ almost hip. So to say. Since I saw it she has been on my mind... The irony of that - Clarence Thomas... crazy . Maybe she’s going to replace Thomas.

I was getting a strong feeling before and after the confirmation of ACB that at least one Justice would depart the court for health reasons.
As far as Kavanaugh goes I've heard many intuitives say they don't see him sticking around. My spidey sense is telling me that there's something that either ACB or Kavanaugh have in their background, that when unearthed will cause them to have to be removed from the court, whether they are asked to resign or otherwise.
I also wonder if in their rush to confirm ACB, that the GOP may have not followed some procedural law in her confirmation, possibly causing a legal loophole or something (that's just my hope). Allyn would probably know better than me about such legalities :)
My pendulum said YES Turd would try to get the Supreme Court to determine the outcome of 'his' election, but he would NOT be successful. Then I threw the cards on it, and in his delusional ways, he was very optimistic about 'his' court, but one of the outcome cards was the Tower - reversed- which is a NO. So, for what it's worth, that's my intuitive take on Turd and his use of the Supreme Court.
In addition to all the legal and policy changes, the Democrats really need to run a major public relations campaign to dispel all the lies, misinformation, and slandering done by this administration, Fox news, Q anon and others. We must promote the shared values and humanity that we share with everyone (over the idea that Democrats are some evil boogeyman) and we must also show how Republican laws and policies are hurting the common people who are supporting them.

I'll start with intuition: Last night when the news broke that she was confirmed, I felt heavy, but that went away quickly. I don't know if it's because we knew it was a forgone conclusion or what, but a sense of "It'll be okay, just hold on" took over me.
I and another friend both had the same reaction going very quickly from gut punch to feeling light (which is unlike me in terms of things like this). My friend said that she heard her say that she would be her own person. Considering her adoption of children which speaks well of her, we wondered whether or not she was moved by the Democrats putting up pictures of people who will lose their health care if she votes to get rid of ACA, and by 80 of her ND colleagues asking her to withdraw. We also wondered whether or not she's ever really been exposed to more liberal, Christian caring thought. We both keep getting the feeling that there is more to this than we can now see.
