Remember the times you have seen and visited the Capital Washington DC. Hold it in light and love. Please ask angels to protect each and every Senator and Representative. Please visualize a warm glow and light protecting everyone in the presence of the Capital.
Regarding the violence unfolding today:
It was unfortunately necessary, as it is the final nail in the MAGA coffin.
Without it, we'd be dealing with an Ivanka or Junior campaign in 2024. Now, their political futures are effectively decimated.
The stain of Donald Trump will never be washed away from all those who participated in and supported this administration. Amen.
Finally, I suspect today's events are the source of the vision a few (including @Baba, perhaps?) have had of a distraught Don Jr alone in his high rise apartment.
Things about which I have no doubt:
1. Peace will be restored in DC
2. Hundreds of the rioters can and will be identified, arrested, charged, convicted, and serve time
3. There will be several investigations into various Congress members who have supported the lies in the face of blatant proof to the contrary and inflamed the rhetoric surrounding them, and in a few cases (I'm looking at you, Gohmert), encouraged and incited these attacks. Many will be formally censured, and a few might be expelled or forced to resign and possibly charged with sedition or treason. No other repercussions will be forthcoming.
4. There will be several investigations and inquiries into why security was not taken seriously in light of the many credible threats from these groups over the last few months. A few symbolic heads may roll, but no formal charges or censure will occur.
5. There will be investigations into why the rioters in DC were treated differently than in the peaceful protests in Seattle and elsewhere. Although there will be ample video an photographic proof of the differences, there will unfortunately, be no charges or reprimands issued, and few if any of those in charge will face any punishment.
@tgraf66 you know, when i heard some Congressperson on the news, talking about how those thugs invaded their "Sacred Space" in the Capitol bldg., i almost tossed my ramen. There are shootings in churches, in schools, everywhere you look. Airheads have invaded all of the airwaves. There are loudmouthed anti-maskers breathing down every neck. The stench of dumbass is inescapable.
Well, i have news for them:
Every space is sacred.
Trump is still at it. Hes got Rudy calling all the GOP senators asking them to delay this a full day. Of course Rudy being the idiot he is, called the wrong senator and the voice-mail was handed to the press. Between this, the police letting the Capitol be stormed, and Trump's praise for the terrorists, there is no way anyone can hide behind semantics and claim this isn't a coup anymore.
Shortly after the situation in the Capitol began today, my mind flashed to Gabriel Giffords and Mark Kelly.
I felt it must have been a particularly difficult day for them. Giffords, was a AZ congresswomen 10 years ago this week when she was shot in the head by gunman at a meet and greet in Tucson. Her situation was so grave at the time of the shooting, she was actually pronounced dead on national television. Her husband, astronaut Mark Kelly, saw this announcement on his plane flight from Texas to Arizona where he had boarded a friend's private plane to get quickly back to the side of his wife. He had been preparing for his upcoming mission to captain the next Space Shuttle flight and spent most of that flight home believing his wife had been killed.
Mark Kelly, now US senator from Arizona, was at the Capitol today when the insurgence happened today.
This is from Giffords twitter today, a message to Kelly.
“As I sat waiting for information about @SenMarkKelly’s safety today,” she wrote, “I couldn’t stop thinking about what you must have gone through 10 years ago this week.” Giffords added, finishing her tweet. “I love you, sweetie."
I am sure there was some major PTSD going on in the Giffords/Kelly household today.
I deeply love this family and hope they can continue to bless our lives for many many years to come. Sending them and all others traumatized from the events of today a lot of love and healing light.
You are directly responsible for lightening my mood, even though today was a darkly unprecedented day for us all as a country.
First, I don't know if you remember a product called Underwood Deviled Ham. The image of the devil on the wrapper kept popping into my head all day.
Second, I kept having a vision of McTurtle dressed as a fully grown Halloween trick-or-treater, complete with tail, pitchfork, horns and hooves. He was trick-or-treating with his mom, only it was his wife (weird) and he kept demanding to go to more houses. She kept telling him no, he had enough candy, and he kept stomping his hooves. Finally he gave up, and turned his back, and started walking away slowly, slumping and dejected, his tail all limp and dragging his pitchfork along the ground. ?
I've been laughing at those mental images all day. So thank you.
And I needed the laugh because of my extreme disgust at the rethugs who are speaking out now. Big deal. Too little, too late. Where the hell have they been the last four years? Fake courage is the same as none at all.
This is what I got today when meditating:
I see T. His eyes are downcast and his hands are bound in front of him. All around him I see angry members of Congress, the Senate and his cabinet pointing their fingers at him. I think they are trying to figure out how to take away his power.
I see Pompeo. He will only participate in the above if he can be VP.
I see Loeffler. She is smoking a cigarette and looks irritated. She is over all of this political business.
I see the Washington Monument at dusk and the sky is pink. There is a flock of white doves flying over and they bring the promise of peace back to DC with them.
@polarberry I’m glad you had a laugh from the McConnell dressed as a devil vision. That one gave me a laugh too. I wasn’t sure what to make of it. I do remember Underwood deviled ham and in my earlier years was a great fan of it!
