Caucus results are VERY delayed.  Nothing back yet.

The media is quite perplexed.

The Iowa presidential caucuses were thrown into chaos late Monday after the state Democratic Party said it found "inconsistencies" in the reporting of results and some election workers encountered issues with a new results app.

"We found inconsistencies in the reporting of three sets of results. In addition to the tech systems being used to tabulate results, we are also using photos of results and a paper trail to validate that all results match and ensure that we have confidence and accuracy in the numbers we report," state party communications director Mandy McClure said.

Nothing has been verified and many are already questioning how any results can be trusted once announced.

This is a BIG problem!!

@lovendures I agree this is a big problem.  A prelude to other the elections including the big one.

@jeanne-mayell

I hope this is a HUGE wake up call for every state.

It is a shame .  How frustrating for the candidates and the voters too.  The rightful winner should be able to celebrate in Iowa tonight, not tomorrow or the next day.  They have all worked so hard for so long.

@lovendures  I have an uneasy feeling about what is going to happen to our elections.

@jeanne-mayell

Yes, you have mentioned this a few different times and it looks like we are starting down that path this election year.

Best case scenario, this is just a Iowa State Democratic Party issue of a  faulty app paired with poor planning. Best case scenario leaves everyone in Iowa questioning results and if their vote actually counted  correctly.   It will leave people in other states wondering if their elections their will be accurate.

Best case scenario SUCKS.

 Worst case scenario?   OMG!

I so hope you have been feeling possible pathways and not the path we actually end up traveling.

My hubby, an active IC participant who is not prone to paranoia, went right to "It's Iran or Russia".

Yeah, this is a warm up for the big election, IF we even end up having one. I maintain it's entirely possible that the Reichstag event we've all been fearing will occur in October, making it possible to "postpone" the election indefinitely. Or even right after the election, causing suspension of civil rights, imposition of martial law, and declaration of the election results as "invalid" by certain sore losers.

This is a ploy to insert a "Dems are rigging the election" narrative into the race

@lovendures  The visions we get are always just possible pathways.  That said, some visions are more enduring than others. The one I got years back for 2014-2028 has been enduring so far, but has remained unclear in its meaning.   I had originally thought it was about the markets falling but so far it has been about the collective spirit of our tribe in American and around the world.

In that vision there was going to be volatility in the collective in 2017 - a new normal we didn't like. The volatility would get stronger in 2018 and 2019. Then I saw a downward slide in late 2019 and 2020. I thought that the vision I was getting was about the stock market but in 2017 and 2018 it turned out to be a volatility in our collective emotions.

As the vision continued for 2020 through the next few years, progressives redirect their energies from battling the federal government and focus on building progressive initiatives and democracies in their state and local governments.  Women rise even higher. Youth rise. They are progressive.  And America begins greening with the hard work of progressives and probably little help from the federal government.

The downward slide is still not explained except that it could be a loss of faith in the federal government. But it changes us in a good way.  There is a return to new progressive unified government in mid to late 2020's. There might at first be a parallel progressive federal leadership, a kind of Continental Congress,  to the "official" federal government. This vision does not preclude a democratic win in 2020 since nothing is cast in concrete.

But whether we win in 2020 or not, the Great Unraveling is in process along with a Great Turning.  And the Great Turning is going to take the whole decade so perhaps it is what I was really seeing.

Also if you recall, in the 11/11/19 Read the Future night, several of us saw delayed and disrupted results in November 2020.  We knew then that election disturbance was underway.  Also that the GOP will do everything it can to stay in power. But many also saw a good outcome after this initial scramble.

What is happening in Iowa will not end if they start claiming it was just an app and now all is well.   We want to have faith in our elections, but we also will not be falsely soothed.

I just heard "it's better that this happened now," followed by the chills.  And then I heard "forewarned is forearmed."
