Shutdown? Yes, but only temporarily. It will likely be a minor inconvenience for most, but it will only be catastrophic for the R's re-election chances.

@jeanne-mayell @kathleen Yes, Baba said it would be about a 2 week shutdown. I was paying attention since my work is dependent on that. It will be interesting to see what happens after the 45-day short-term funding expires.
Baba indicated about a two week government shutdown in September. Given where we are now with the chaos party, I'm wondering if her vision might be realized for the next CR in November? Anyone have any feel for where we are headed with this?
