@journeywithme2 BUT "There is more to come before the government can reopen. Any one senator can delay consideration of the package for several days, plus the House will have to return and adopt the deal struck in the Senate before it gets sent to President Donald Trump’s desk."

Feeling that it won't go through like these few Dems want it to.GOP-ers have no Iintentions to do anything at all. They are  highy invested in gaslighting and refusing to negotiate, revealing them to be the worst of the worst.

We must continue to insist on what we need and deserve.

@higgimic1020gmail-com  the House Speaker doesn’t want to have to vote on the Epstein issue… I suspect he also doesn’t want to have to vote on opening up the government again unless T gives him the go ahead.

Arizona’s newly elected Democratic House Representative hasn’t even been sworn in... she won her election weeks and weeks ago!

I'm grateful that my Senators and my Rep-turned-futureGovernor were like "this is no", but it is what it is and I figure they have to have good reasons to allow it.

That said I am curious of Johnson will survive as speaker and if once he opens the House they will force votes on Epstein. Which, wait, hold on, this still requires Senate and presidential signature, so its meaningless. Why would he stop it.

Honestly though so many things are up in the air and it very feels weird.

I also wonder if things will happen to reveal that Trump is not well, makes me wonder if / when a thing about that happens so blatantly that it can't be hidden.

When the last speaker was voted out, didn't the house rules only require one rep in the majority party to start that process? Did that change after Johnson was elected?

House rules were changed in January to prevent any one person from starting the process. Now a proposal takes 9 sponsors.

There were multiple predictions of there being less and less reliance on Federal government snd more on local levels. This is Newsom at COP 25 basically saying the same thing and being joined om by others who say they are also seeing more local leadership than Federal in their countries. The headline is to grab attention but he is doing amazing job.  He and the lady next to him. It made me instantly think of how things are going more local with less trust in Federal..  Link os worth a watch of interested.  When asked about the whiplash of the US going back and forth on climate policy he brings up how states are stepping up where Federal levels are failing. He is a state official doing international work that Federal is failing on literally.  Link:

Yes, those predictions stem from one I repeatedly made starting in 2012 that the long term future (and we are now in that long-term future) would involve states pulling away from the federal government and becoming more independent. I have never thought, however, that there would be secession and so far there is no indication that secession is the way that states would become more independent.

How I feel about reading the future and if the future can change:

When I try to see the future, I always try to do so from a higher place. I always meditate before beginning and feel as though I am channeling the information from light beings I can feel energy in the crown of my head.  I often do not remember my predictions clearly after I have completed and submitted them. It is almost as though they pass through me and then once the information has been shared, my work is done. As far as whether the future can change in the meantime, I personally don’t feel like the future is set in stone. Often something will happen that changes the course of a situation in a way that I would have never expected. We all have free will and influence the energy around us.

I honestly don't know if these are predictions, or observations, but I'll leave them here.

The House members' time away during the shutdown had a "leavening effect".  Their bonds are loosening. They see the country and policy effects more clearly and will no longer be blind followers.

MTG either becomes more mainstream Republican or switches to Independent.
