I get some odd predictive dreams and I woke up hungry after this. Burger King may add an organic, natural selection to their menu in addition to the Impossible Whopper. In particular, I saw a grilled chicken sandwich with a lemon garlic aioli spread, lettuce, red onion and tomato on what looked like a whole grain ciabatta bun, wedge fries that were baked not fried, and an all-natural carbonated fruit drink in a can.  Muffins and yogurt had been added to the breakfast menu. The was something about a burger on a whole grain bun as well, but it was the chicken that caught my eye. The packaging was white and green.

I'm hoping this one comes true because that chicken sandwich looked really good!

@PamP, I had to see what the Burger King prediction was! That made me hungry too. Your predictive dream menu sounds like a very good idea!
Sometimes with predictions, we get some unexpected things!

Has anyone tried that Impossible beef in home cooking?  I am wanting to make chili with it.

@polarberry

First, open a can of tomato paste. Drop it in a skillet, and burn it a little, or a lot, until it looks brownish. Now add the beer, chocolate, and coffee..

Combine w the Non-meat, that you have already browned up, w garlic, chili spices, and cayenne pepper.

i will bring the tequila

@polarberry

I've used Beyond Meat to make bolognese sauce, comes out good. For chili too - just sub it in any recipe you like for loose ground meat.

Just FYI, Beyond meat is NON--GMO while Impossible is definitely GMO.  If you are concerned at all about GMO food sources, you might want to consider Beyond.

Bolognese, yum.  I've got a package of Lightlife brand plant-based sausage in the freezer.  Looks like chorizo.  Might fry some up for breakfast.  I don't know how it tastes yet, but the dogs got excited when they saw the package come out of the grocery bag.

@polarberry

Those are great, especially grilled! I also love their Gimme Lean sausage - you can use it just like you'd use any other breakfast sausage. I've made scotch eggs with it and they were fantastic!

@polarberry Impossible Burger meat is doing a very slow rollout to grocery stores in certain states. If you live on the East Coast and are near a Wegmans, you can probably find it there.
