@baba I was reading through the Predictions the other day and I came across one that you have put for April 2022

International

I keep hearing Seven Sisters (the Australian story). I am not sure if this is related to astronomy, Australia, or the concepts in the story. (Baba)

I am putting down some information regarding this and I will keep an eye out in April to see what it may be about.

Australian Story is a TV series on the ABC that has been going since 1996 and its about Australians from all works of life with extraordinary lives share their personal stories and life journey with the world (The ABC's Blurb). So it may relate to a story they will be doing.

Seven Sisters may relate to the Dreamtime and Songlines and it may be the subject.

Some information that may interest everyone about the story of the Seven Sisters.

Hi @Matildagirl

Thanks for those links. I will be very interested to see if the prediction comes to pass and in what form.
When I lived in the north of Australia, I got to know an artist from central Australia who wrote a book about this:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/36335927-the-seven-sisters

He also paints this as one of his dreaming stories. He painted a picture of the story for me but left out the snakes because he thought they would scare me (lol).

That’s great news! When I lived up there, the power was run on natural gas and diesel as a back up. There was also talk of creating a tidal power station due to the favorable conditions there. Anything solar should do well in that area.

@baba

Hi or should I say G'day.  Is this the tidal power station idea you mentioned.

I also found information on a wave power project in Tasmania.

Your September prediction is well on track, our Covid numbers are going up we had the highest daily number we had ever had yesterday. The lockdown has been extended until the end of September now. Vaccinations are increasing and the PM and our Premier are pushing for living with Covid and getting us up to at least 70% vaccinated to start to lessen restrictions and once we hit 80% not have lockdowns anymore. They are hoping to achieve that by November. The protesters are starting to come out now as well, I think they forget how lucky we have been compared to the rest of the world and need something to bitch about.

NZ's cases are starting to go up, but they are in full lockdown, we were lockdown light, so they need to ramp up vaccination as well. So with a little bit of luck 2022 might look a bit brighter, hopefully everywhere. But lets face it we live in interesting times.

Good on ya

Best wishes

G’day (or rather evening) to you too!

The project that I was referring to was in the Top End but they aren’t as far along yet:
https://tethys.pnnl.gov/project-sites/clarence-strait-tidal-energy-project

It is impressive that they have more advanced ones in the NW and Tassie!

I have been reading about the Covid numbers and the different state lockdowns there. It isn’t always great to be right on some predictions. My son in VIC is on his 6th lockdown since this all began. I still think the only way out of this is high levels of vaccination. I look forward to the borders opening again at some point. I know people in Europe where I am who are unable to get back home to Aus. and have been stranded due to travel requirements for work. I have heard beginning of 2022 mentioned as a possibility for opening the borders again if all goes well.

Kind regards and best wishes to you!

Hi Everyone, I don't know if you would be able to access the Australia's ABC from America but I thought you may be interested in this story.

Insiders reveal how Fox News became a propaganda outlet for Donald Trump - ABC News

Fox and the Big Lie: How the network promoted Donald Trump’s propaganda and helped destabilise democracy in America - Four Corners (abc.net.au)

Fox and the Big Lie: A two-part special on Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News - how the network promoted Donald Trump’s propaganda and helped destabilise democracy in America

The United States of America gave Rupert Murdoch a great deal, he repaid it by doing a great deal of harm.” Lt. Colonel Ralph Peters, former Fox contributor

Fox News is the brash cable TV network that has dominated both the ratings and the headlines in America, delivering revenue and power to the Murdoch family empire. For decades its catch cry was “fair and balanced.” Then along came Donald Trump.

I think that they allowed the former president to dictate what news they put out to the American people.” Gretchen Carlson, former Fox News host

On Monday, Four Corners investigates how the Murdoch run Fox News became a propaganda vehicle for Donald Trump and helped destabilise democracy in the United States. Featuring Fox News insiders, the program reveals how the network changed once Donald Trump entered politics and Rupert Murdoch took over.

I was under the false belief that…the Murdochs’ would elevate the value of news…They were not there to make Fox more mainstream. Quite the opposite.” Chris Stirewalt, former Fox political editor

In interviews with major Fox figures including Gretchen Carlson, the presenter who brought down famed network boss Roger Ailes; and former Fox political editor Chris Stirewalt, a key figure on the Decision Desk whose election night call triggered a Trump meltdown - the program examines the politics at work within the network and why it tied its fortunes to Donald Trump.

This is all a money game. This is all about ratings. This is all about the bottom line.” Gretchen Carlson

They fear that this alliance has put the foundations of US democracy in peril.

Fox certainly has participated in the destruction of democracy by promoting the types of things that Donald Trump did. Now, that's a pox on Fox. No question about it.” Former Fox chief political correspondent, Carl Cameron

Part one of Fox and the Big Lie, reported by Sarah Ferguson, goes to air on Monday 23rd August at 8.30pm. It is replayed on Tuesday 24th August at 1.00pm and Wednesday 25th at 11.20pm. It can also be seen on ABC NEWS channel on Saturday at 8.10pm AEST, ABC iview and at abc.net.au/4corners.

Regards to all

@jeanne-mayell

Hi guys,

You talking about Thanksgiving and your Indigenous people made me wonder about how our history, which is not the most stellar. White Australia Policy etc and what changes are happening.

I knew there was a Day of mourning and Sorry day and Naidoc week but hadn't really known the history so much. I knew Sorry day was about the apology for the Stolen generation and the opposition to Australia day being the 26th January which Indigenous Australians call Invasion Day so it was very interesting and enlightening to read further.

Hope you find it interesting too.

Hi

Our Federal Government was trying to put through a bill that would require voters to give ID at the polling stations. At the moment you rock up to your polling station, give your name, they look it up in the electoral roll which is in alphabetical order, check that your name against the address they have if there is more than one name like yours. Put a little mark against it, give you the ballot papers, you vote, stick the papers in the ballot boxes, go outside, you can buy a cake or a plant or sausage sanga to help the school or church whose hall it is, head on home. Simple

The bill was panned for its impact on vulnerable groups including Indigenous Australians and people experiencing homelessness.

Even the government-chaired human rights committee found there was no evidence it was necessary. The Australian Electoral Commission had found instances of voter fraud were “vanishingly small”.

The legislation would have forced voters to present a form of ID at polling stations and rewrite current rules asking people to provide their name and address. The changes have been labelled “racist” and “a solution looking for a problem” amid fears it would suppress and disenfranchise voters from Indigenous and multicultural backgrounds, as well as others who may have trouble providing acceptable ID.

Its for future knowledge in case we wipe ourselves out with climate change. Now doesn’t that make you feel safe.

Hi

A tradition in Australia that Americans would not know of that you may like to know about.

Share the lamb!

Post-Christmas, there’s no tradition more anticipated than the release of the annual lamb ad.

Each year, Meat and Livestock Australia sends out a searing roast in honour of the Aussiest of meats – lamb.

This year’s campaign, “The Lost Country of the Pacific” celebrates Australia reuniting with the rest of the world after years of isolation.

If you are interested in the past ads if you go to YouTube and search Australian lamb ads.

Just a bit of light hearted fun.
