@joy I agree. I'm definitely not saying Elon is good or truthful. I think he's a bit insane actually, and pure greed and other "not nice adjectives".  I just think he said some truth when angry.  Epstien part was truth so we should  consider that he angry tweeted the truth about election cheating too. Just a thought.   I think they both want to take the other out and be the only powerful emperor, but they have mutually assured destruction on each other. Just thing he mad tweeted truth.  But definitely not advocating for Elon lol. Nope.

Well, I’d intended to participate in a standout/protest this afternoon but w the family divisiveness growing over my father’s care, I really needed to not leave the house today and absorb anymore outside energies. I’ve been busy volunteering to help people all week in various ways and decided I’m taking care of my own heart today. On my path forward as a family outsider, I heed my heart and baked zucchini bread instead. Don’t forget to take good care of your hearts, my friends.

I have donated to candidates and action groups via Act Blue for several years.   It seems an efficient way to get funds to where they can be helpful.  The problem is that now I am inundated daily with texts and emails from innumerable Democratic candidates and action groups all wanting my money. Since I can't help everyone, every day I am "unsubscribing" from several emails and replying "stop" to numerous texts.  But they keep multiplying.

One person to whom I still regularly send $ is AOC.  Her emails are brief, to the point, honest, and calm, as opposed to so many from others whose messages are long, panicky, and borderline irrational.

Of all the worthy causes and candidates, can anyone tell me which are going to give me the a significant "bang for the buck"?

Apparently threds took this terrific bluegrass protest song down. The lady who initially posted it now has a private threds account. It popped up for me again, but my guess is it will be taken down once more. If you want to hear it, check it out quickly. It was an original post on tictoc, which I do not have, and I have no idea how to pull it out from any post, be it threds or tictoc.

The woman who wrote and is singing it is apparently well known in bluegrass circles.

Basically the chorus is "It ain't gonna go away, It ain't gonna go away, those ep%%n files gonna bite your butt, and it ain't gonna go away." The verses are delightful!

This link by someone else may get taken down as well. So if you want to hear a great protest song, look quick.

I'm putting this here only because I can't find the thread I wanted to put it in. ;-)

Anyway, this is a Substack article, so do your own vetting, but I found this...intriguing.

Ex-CIA Whistleblower: "The NSA Audited The 2024 Election, Kamala Harris Won"

In the interests of making sure I only spread truth, I need to post that I've just seen in more than one place that this information is not valid, i.e., the NSA/CIA have not done any official investigation with regard to this. There do seem to be some unofficial things happening in some places, and this article appears to be a consolidation of the information that is being spread from those unofficial sources.

@higgimic1020gmail-com I just wanted to say that I also think some of Elon's tweets contained truthful information. However, ultimately, he might not be as committed to the truth as he is to his own agenda, which, at the moment, is to oppose the 'orange one'.

It is good that E & 45 had a falling out, because it sets the stage for E to spill the beans in order to save himself.

OK - this make more sense.  Sometimes it is hard to believe articles since so many takes exist.

There was a report on the validity/interference of the 2024 election (required by executive order from 45's 2016 administration) published by the Director of National Intelligence (Avril Haynes) right before the Christmas 2024 holiday.  Of note, both Biden and Kamala cancelled their holiday plans and returned to the Whitehouse, presumably in response to the report.

@tesseract she's very well known and a gem of a person as is her partner! She has done a LOT of advocacy for the Kennedy Center for the Arts (given recent changes and proposed changes) as well.

@turtle26

I saw how esteemed she is! I did some research, and yes, very well known indeed. I didn't use her name in the post —more protectively— than any other reason. I normally also try to make sure my spelling is accurate 🤣 but in that post I just felt that being a little imprecise was the best route overall.  Her voice is fantastic and the lyrics are pointedly delightful. I'll have to look up what she is doing regarding the Kennedy Center, it sounds like more good trouble!

I also loved looking at how many folks my age (closing in on 76) were in that group of multi-aged singers. I get so annoyed at all the nasty "boomer" things out in the social media world. Don't those who are blaming my generation realize it was the "boomers" that protested and fought to get the privileges that are now being torn away? & we did it all without the internet, cell phones, or even faxes! Seeing our youth's work destroyed is devastating and depressing, but it just means we have to, as Spirit keeps saying, "Be Bright with Light" and keep on, keeping on, as we re-assert the rights we fought so hard for fifty-plus years ago. 🌹 🌺 🌻 🌼 ❤️ We are not going back! & it (those files!) ain't gonna go away!
