Hi everyone. I also cannot physically attend a demonstration today, but i am there in spirit.  I like the way music works to elevate vibration. In 2017 when we attended the first Women's March, a musician friend of mine suggested that a melody would work better to transform things than chanting. She may be right.

With this in mind, I would like to recommend the Piedmont Raging Grannies singing their hearts out like Woody Guthrie of "This Machine Kills Fascists" fame. They are reincarnated suffragettes, obviously. <3 Their songs and social media pages are on FB and IG.

I went to a smaller rally today in my hometown .  The large one at the state capital was huge.  They marched and also had a stage where the inflatables did the Macarena at that large one.  Haha

Mine was along a major 8 lane street, and was just a rally.  Every mile for five miles along this road was an additional rally.  Many cars were going along the road with  their own signs and decorations honking at all of us on the sidewalk with our signs. Almost a parade feeling but the cars went faster than a parade, mostly. Haha

Yes, we did get flipped off and told off but only about one in 20 did that.  We just yell back to have a a nice day or yelled “ bless your hearts”.

There were six of us who went together, three of whom had never participated in any kind of rally previously.

We made signs at my house last night and had a great time.. My favorite was one I made. “ “Honk if you’re not in the Epstein Files.”

The consensus from the newbies was how wonderful it was to be surrounded by like minded individuals, especially when living in a MAGA leaning community.

We all had an additional take away. It was the first time since Trump took office that there were pick up trucks carrying American flags that were anti-Trump as opposed to pro Trump. There were so many that had “no kings” slogans written on them. What a new experience!!

People passed out American flags to hold.  It was a taking back of what it actually means to be a patriot. certainly police presence many gave us a thumbs up as they drove by.

On a personal note, it was the first time I stood for two hours without sitting down since breaking my ankles.  I’m glad I attended this smaller rally because I don’t think I could marched yet and I was very slow moving getting back to the car. But I was really happy to be there.

Not sure this is the right place for this, but . . .

I had a dream last night that a precinct or a county re-counted the 2024 election ballots using a purified tabulation machine.  Two election officials were standing over the machine as it produced the results. The tally was an overwhelming Kamala result (74%), much different than had been reported and certified.

Clever non-violent protest videos cast on city walls. On instagram, a video artist asked people with projectors to download his videos and project them on city walls across the country try.  T crumbling up and eating the Epstein list; Levitt as Chatty Cathy; Kash projected onto a freeway staring wide-eyed at everyone driving by; and that I Love LA No Kings Day video which shows an amalgam of so many videos.

Does anyone else feel extra traumatized watching the destruction of the East Wing of the People's White House?  Robert Arnold on Substack explains why so many people feel that this act of destruction has so many people  feeling pushed over the edge:

Nobody's throwing a fit over construction, updates, renovation.  Many presidents have done renovations and reconstruction before.  It's not the construction.

We all know that the building isn't sacred in its drywall. It's sacred in its symbolism.

So this is not about bricks or permits.

This is about WHO Is doing it. This is about who is holding the wreaking ball.

For me, it's not just *who*.  I would be upset if anyone had done it (however almost anyone else would likely have had a very good reason, like the wing was falling into a sinkhole).

The "who" does make it worse though because it's just so, so typical of his narcissistic ways and disrespect for the country and its heritage.

@lowtide He usually does things in phases -- slowly boiling froggie, raising the temperature in fits and starts, always claiming there is precedent for it, until one day, froggie is boiled.

No one is explaining that the east wing sits over the WH nuclear shelter. They are not sharing the design plans, nothing is transparent. Something is up about that, and no one is talking about it. I don't feel good that they may be hiding plans to expand the nuclear shelter under the guise of making a ballroom. and if so, why?  It's likely that the Kremlin and the Saudis and T's other friends know more about U.S. military secrets than Americans.

@spirit20 This tearing down of the East Wing made me sick and sad at the same time. Feels like the quality of our mutual heritage is being torn apart and given no consideration for its loss and what those buildings have represented in our lives and as a symbol throughout the world.

Yes, I am definitely extra traumatized.

If you have every been lucky enough to visit the White House, you entered through a building which now longer exists. My family walked through those doors during the George W Bush presidency, we were lucky enough to get tickets to tour the White House. My girls were 12 and 9.

I am a strong believer in protecting and preserving public history. This is simply devastating.

Oh, by the way, public tours have been closed indefinitely.

So many historical traditions have happened in the East Wing including  the Garden Room and East Colonnadei which were decorated in different themes each year for Christmas in the Garden Room and East Colonnade. And the gardens...the loss is profound, deep, and is even more painful when MAGA people you personally know are insisting it isn't a big deal and for democrats to calm down.

Today, the person temporarily living in that house has opened the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge back up to drilling after reversing the Biden Administration decision to close it to keep it pristine.

Tonight, my inner light is greatly dimmed.  My soul weeps for all which is no longer, for the former First Ladies who must feel exceptional loss, those who walked  the halls of the East Wing on a daily basis and our nation.

"I know it's a lot. It’s  everything you ever feared, but everything you thought wouldn't happen is is actually happening. [Robert Arnold's words are powerful (go to his link below to hear him speak it.]

"And it feels like, for every crack we make in the wall, they come back stronger, and they do.

That's the nature of it.

And maybe you feel hopeless right now, and desperate.

like everything you've done hasn't worked. Like, you're the only one who sees it.

But you're not crazy, and you're not wrong.

You are just awake in a time that teaches people to sleep through history.

We stand for something. It's time that we say it plainly, that we stand for the rule of law that means the same thing for everyone.

Not a mask for the powerful to wear when it benefits them and discard it when it doesn't.

We stand for our neighbors, sacred and sovereign in their own lives, for children who should never be zip-tied in the streets or separated from their parents under the glare of police lines.

To the right of ordinary people to rest and go to sleep without fear that their doors will be kicked in by midnight raids.

We will not stand for the militarization of our neighborhoods. We will not stand for Department of War that's forgotten its name. That acts as judge and jury and executioner, bombing boats in the night, killing men whose guilt is only suspected.

We will not stand for the state to behave like an empire and then tell us to call it freedom.

These are not abstractions; these are the faces of our neighbors.

our children and our friends. This is the quiet horror that happens.

What do people forget what power was meant to serve?

And so today, we rise…"

Need empowerment? Maya Angelou has the answer: Self love comes from bringing along within you everyone who has ever loved you. Never be alone. Bring them along. Got this link from our amazing intuitive reader @Andy. Before hearing Angelou express it so eloquently,  we have been doing this in the Circle of Light many times these past years: we surround ourselves with those who love us, living or past, animals or people. And we breathe in that love.

Self love is one of the keys to successful resistance.

Timothy Mellon is the stepson of Rachel "Bunny" Mellon, an American horticulturalist, philanthropist, and art collector known for redesigning the White House Rose Garden

. Timothy Mellon is a billionaire businessman, major political donor, and the anonymous donor who gifted $130 million to the U.S. government to help pay troops during a shutdown. The two are linked through Timothy's father, Paul Mellon, who was Bunny Mellon's second husband and Timothy's father.
