Hello all!
Checking in for some good energy and light this week.
I am not at my goal weight for the transplant but I'm super close. This isn't what I need the light for (though feel free to add some on that part of the scales)
In September I had a liver ultrasound - it was one of the final parts of my being admitted to the living donor program. Based on the numbers I had a liver healthy enough to donate at that point in time but - I also had a ton of weight to lose for the procedure. Sometimes when we lose weight quickly our liver can pick up additional pockets of fat, so - given that they told me I had to drop 50 pounds, they wanted me back in when I was done (or close to being done) losing the weight to make sure things were still kosher.
That appointment is Thursday. Statistically speaking most people who say they're going to lose weight to donate don't so I'm hoping that if I'm a stones throw away they'll give us a date.
Here's what I need help visualizing - I know there's also a circle of light coming up if those in attendance wouldn't mind adding to this there too. I absolutely abhor asking for this kind of attention, but I've worked so damn hard to get this far.
I need these two outcomes specifically:
1) Liver still healthy enough to give to K.
2) Transplant teams assigning a date for our surgery - sometime in late April/early May.
I'm worn down, lost, and broken at this point being so close but not completely there yet - as my wife pointed out yesterday, we've been living in a weird limbo - Pavlov's liver so to speak, where I both am donating and am not donating all at once. I need to emerge from the box with results saying my liver is still healthy enough to give to K, and with a date.

@dannyboy, would you believe you popped into my mind this morning? Seriously. I was also thinking about you at this morning's meditation.
I completely understand why you might be feeling worn down -- in part because you have nothing yet definitively set, but also because your body has been through a lot to get where you are. I'm sure all of that is adding to your stress levels. Under the circumstances, I think your feelings are totally natural. I'm sure I'd be feeling the same way.
So to clarify, it sounds like you've succeeded in losing the additional 50 pounds (congratulations!), which is why you're returning on Thursday for the follow-up examination of your liver? Which would mean you are, in some sense, in the home stretch. Are you able to let go at this point, trusting that things will work out for the highest good? I believe you've been divinely led every step of the way. I know it's easier said than done, but I also know that Spirit's got this, @dannyboy. (I just got goosebumps when I wrote that -- always a confirmation for me from Spirit.)
Never hesitate asking us for our light, prayers -- or even to just listen and be present to you. This is a big life decision you have undertaken and there's no reason you should go through this alone. We'll make sure you and your loved ones are included in this Wednesday's Circle of Light and all of the upcoming Circle meditations.
I've just lit a candle for you, and will include you in my prayers and meditations. And you'll be in my special thoughts on Thursday.

@Deetoo I have lost most of the 50 - and my total weight loss since June is 78 pounds. It was August and my appointments that they set the 50 pound goal - worked really hard leading up to that because had I weighed much more they would have disqualified me then! (Right now I’m 1 pound away) I weigh myself first thing in the morning without a stitch on and they’ll be weighing me fully clothed mid morning. Thank you for the candle and light. Spiritually I’m ready to let go and have been mostly calm thinking about the surgery. Work wise however I’m ready to plot my calendar and finalize all the things I’ve kept in the air since August.

Please send light and prayers that his seat is filled by a person for the highest and greatest outcome possible. Tom Suozzi ( the former congressman for the district) is the Democratic candidate. Mazi Pilip is the Maga Republican candidate.

@dannyboy, you are a walking miracle of a person. We are all so excited that you are doing this. In your selfless effort to save your wife's cousin, I do believe you have inadvertently saved your own life. We will keep you and your wife's cousin in our prayers at each Circle of Light.
