@dannyboy so sorry to read about your loss. Losing somebody to any illness is devastating, but Covid feels especially unfair. It feels preventable. If only everybody would protect each other. My heart goes out for you and her loved ones. Strength to all to get through this wave of pain. Stay strong. ❤️
Also, shudders for reading that they dubbed a conservative community Dutch, when The Netherlands are quite liberal and secular. Hope the light will shine on them.
@lovendures thank you for the prayers for all of us in the paths of the supercell outbreaks. The one that came through my sector was an EF-1 - passed overhead and touched down 3 miles away from me and traveled several miles before it was over. Other than power loss and the death of the transformer on the power pole that caused a huge power surge that took out my washing machine, the cats water fountain and zapped my DIL with a shock ( she had her iphone on a charger and it POPPED and " bit") and no power for a day and a half we fared well enough. Many were not so lucky here and we are pulling together to feed and house one another. An E-4 took out the historic district and more in Newnan , Ga. The one here originated in Alabama and traveled 220 miles. Alabama was hit harder than with more tornadoes. We had those 2. Having lived her all my life I can tell you- these storms are intensifying in frequency and strength, a direct result of climate change. I think hurricane season will also be rough this year! All prayers appreciated and we MUST heal our planet... if we don't Mother Earth will handle it herself ( read about the fertility rates by 2045)
Very happy to hear you made it out ok from the super cell/tornado out break.
That sounds a little to close for comfort.
@lovendures it was too close for comfort for sure!! My 16 year old puppers has storm phobia and separation anxiety (induced by aging and having me home 24/7/365 because of covid-19) I left her for two hours yesterday to do laundry at a friends house ,who also follows protocols of masking up and social distancing etc) and even tho I left her music playing for her and the 4 cats who love and adore her and look out for her (and all are indoor babies) she became agitated by my absence. When I came home she was exhibiting symptoms of a tia/stroke/old dog vestibular syndrome. Ran her in to the clinic I worked at before covid caused retirement. She was treated with injections and came home with oral meds and is back to herself today ... so many prayers were answered. Her time is not yet up here... and I am treasuring our bonus time together. I truly appreciate all the love and support of this community.
@dannyboy oh dannyboy - so very sorry for the loss of such a special person to you. Holding space as you and family and community mourn your losses. I have lost too many to this disease...we all have or know those who have. With the exception of a notable few... this nation is grieving. I pray the Comforter come to us all as we face these challenges ahead and rise to the call for action and healing. ???????
@luminous, your beautiful message deeply resonated with me. The attached song makes me think of the special connection we all share. It's a safe, sacred place, with room for each of us to heal, find peace and thrive. And as the song suggests, if we need a helping hand, all we need to do is ask. Thank you for your love and support, my friends.

I'm glad it resonated because I believe everyone that is here on this forum has found their way here for a reason.
I believe we are lightworkers in each our own way. We are spreading the love and light through our lives and showing others it's possible for them to do the same.
Yesterday evening my Grandad had asked if he wanted me to attend Easter Sunday Church service with him and he would drive me there. But all evening I kept getting an image in my head and the feeling it wasn't safe because there might be a car accident. I thought I was over dramatising the whole thing but this morning we had a phone call he had been in a car accident and had crashed into the back of another car. Thankfully he is OK, but his car had to be written off. Now I understand why I had the images in my head. But sometimes it's difficult to discern the visions in my head from my own thoughts because my emotions can get in the way.
@journeywithme2 oh thank goodness. What a treasure your little girl is. Stay safe and healthy!
@deetoo Wow, I've never heard that version of "Help!" Go Tina, you gave a whole new feel to the song.
Looking at the COVID stats this morning, I think it may be time for a mass prayer/meditation effort aimed at helping people wake up and realize they've GOT to keep masking up and social distancing for a while, and for g-d's sake, get vaccinated as soon as possible.
