Through a friend, I was able to meet this afternoon with a scientist who is doing some cutting-edge research on Huntington's disease, and she is hopeful that we'll see a significant therapeutic on the market within the next 5 years.

@gbs, you may be inspired (as I was) by this Ken Burns/PBS documentary on Nancy Wexler, who, after her mother was diagnosed with HD, spent her life tracking down the genes associated with HD. Treatment directed at the genetic abnormality is very very promising.

What a fascinating time of many possibilities and new understandings for Huntington and many other diseases to come in the decades ahead.
Have been away taking care of life and self here and missing all of these needing prayer and comfort and guidance. My son and his wife moved in this weekend and a lot of belongings and moving disarray to deal with right now. Not complaining ..just staying busy. Have been working on the addressing and mailing out of voter post cards too. Dropping by to get a glance and stay current on the pulse of our work here together.
Just wanted to take the time to say - whether seen online or not - know I am always praying for the Highest Good for all concerned ..and sending my energies to those needing the Light,Love and Healing joining with the energies of the all of us here.
I am finding myself to be of more conviction that we are going to flip the Senate and able to enact the changes and aid that need to be made so that every one has access to health care and have shelter and food. That all who need care receive it. Meantime prayers ongoing lifting us all up and grateful and thankful for all.
