I also ask for my child to be put on the list. Every day I get a Covid update from her college.Every day the number of students who have contracted Covid gets higher, and everyday my fears grow for her. Please pray for her and thank you.
@ghandigirl I can understand your fear. I work at a small school and still don't want to go there. I have been at the actual location, 4 times since March last year. I cannot imagine being forced to go. I hope she'll stay clear of the virus. Please be save. ?
An update for those of you who followed my post from a month or two ago. My college friend, Brian, who had the brain tumor is very close to passing. If you can please keep him in the light for a peaceful transition and his Mom, friends and family in your prayers for peace and comfort, that would be appreciated. We are all turning 50 this year (he would be in April) and it is just hard to process.

@cc21. I am so sorry to hear about your dear friend Brian. In his passing, may he go gentle into that dark night and may he find peace as he emerges into the light again. He won’t be lost forever, you know, he will just be on the other side of the veil. I am sending you, Brian and the family strength and the peace that passes all understanding.

Here we go. Again. Texas.
The un-masking of Texas that Gov. Abbott has now announced is causing complete chaos and stress for the people of Texas. By WEDNESDAY, businesses, restaurants, grocery stores and school districts will need to have decide what plan they will implement now that Abbott has decided to unmask 100% of the state.
This is not just bad for the health of the state. Especially after the winter freeze debacle which has still left 100's of thousands without clean drinking water. It is a new crisis.
School districts now need to decide for themselves whether to keep their mask mandates. This in a state that only just today allowed teachers to be allowed to be prioritized for a vaccination. ( A few counties began to do so on their own last week). This is causing a complete meltdown regarding all things educational.
Thank you Costco and Sprouts for saying you will continue to follow health guidelines land science before allowing customers to enter without a mask. Other businesses have said they will not require or enforce a mask policy anymore.
The vitriol on social media is horrible. For the school districts alone, parents are fighting with each other over the "rights" of their child. Few even consider the rights and safety of staff. The same for grocery and restaurant workers.
So I am asking for prayers that citizens in the state of Texas (and Mississippi) will be protected. That the people who need to step up to the plate and make decisions because their Governor refuses to lead will make wise policies and safeguard the health of their community, that they become light workers in their state. That business leaders lead in a caring and health-minded way.
This state needs LIGHT. Please send light to all the scared people who live and work there and even the ones who can't seem to do the right thing.

All the noise and hatefulness, and just blindness and denial as in Texas, feels large and looming, but I remind myself it only is casting a long shadow.
