@luminous I am currently wiping coffee off my laptop screen where I spewed coffee laughing at this!! ?
My husband (then-boyfriend) and I saw Michael Hedges play in a club about 6 months before he (Hedges) passed. He was brilliant and amazing and had a great absurdist sense of humor. We both had the sense we were in the presence of a higher-order soul. Moderately inebriated BF came up to the stage at the end of the show and shook MH's hand said (inebriatedly) "I love you man!". LOL
@jeanne-mayell That link also contains her newest poem just released "New Day's Lyric"
‘New Day's Lyric’ by Amanda Gorman
May this be the day
We come together.
Mourning, we come to mend,
Withered, we come to weather,
Torn, we come to tend,
Battered, we come to better.
Tethered by this year of yearning,
We are learning
That though we weren't ready for this,
We have been readied by it.
Steadily we vow that no matter
How we are weighed down,
We must always pave a way forward.
This hope is our door, our portal.
Even if we never get back to normal,
Someday we can venture beyond it,
To leave the known and take the first steps.
So let us not return to what was normal,
But reach toward what is next.
What was cursed, we will cure.
What was plagued, we will prove pure.
Where we tend to argue, we will try to agree,
Those fortunes we forswore, now the future we foresee,
Where we weren't aware, we're now awake;
Those moments we missed
Are now these moments we make,
The moments we meet,
And our hearts, once all together beaten,
Now all together beat.
Come, look up with kindness yet,
For even solace can be sourced from sorrow.
We remember, not just for the sake of yesterday,
But to take on tomorrow.
We heed this old spirit,
In a new day's lyric,
In our hearts, we hear it:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne.
Be bold, sang Time this year,
Be bold, sang Time,
For when you honor yesterday,
Tomorrow ye will find.
Know what we've fought
Need not be forgot nor for none.
It defines us, binds us as one,
Come over, join this day just begun.
For wherever we come together,
We will forever overcome.
End
I just ran across this poem online and it really resonated about our current time:
Do you ever feel spiritually
that something is happening.
@cc21 I read your poem and it wasn’t enough to just click “like”. Then I went to the poet’s webpage. She lives on a south sea island and it seems that she sits around all day observing the exquisite details of nature. I want to be there with her in that observation.
Most all, her poem has stated plainly what is happening now. So thank you.
Let America Be America Again
RIP
This is helpful and exactly what I needed to hear. Hope that this is true for you also.

I wouldn't have ever called you negative! We all have our moments, and we're all more than a little anxious right now :-)
Thank you for sharing this video!
A couple of nights ago we went to a concert by Ringo Starr and his All Star Band.
Wow, what a shot of positive energy!! The entire audience had smiles on their faces, it seemed. The feeling stayed with us for quite a while afterwards.
Not only was the music fantastic, the mood was just joyous. Ringo tries to be an ambassador for 'Peace and Love" (his catchphrase) and he succeeds.
The All-Star Band members are all high-profile, highly skilled, experienced musicians who mostly had hits in the 70's and the 80's: Edgar Winter, Steve Lukather (Toto), Hamish Stuart (Average White Band), Colin Hay (Men at Work), Warren Ham (Toto and Kansas), and Greg Bissonette. Ringo does a number of Beatles and "Ringo" songs, and each band member leads numbers that were their hits back in the day. It is a fantastic collaboration and they all look like they are loving it.
The really crazy thing is that Ringo is 82 and could pass for a fit 55 or 60.
Anyhow, if you are anywhere near a concert on this tour I highly recommend you try to get tickets and just GO. You will feel so much happier with the world if you do.
Remaining tour locations and dates are at https://www.ringostarr.com/tour
There are many amateur videos of the tour on YouTube-- here's a good one:

This song spoke to me very deeply. I hope it can do the same for others:
Enigma - Return To Innocence (Official Video)
Lyrics:
LoveDevotionFeelingEmotionDon't be afraid to be weakDon't be too proud to be strongJust look into your heart my friendThat will be the return to yourselfThe return to innocenceThe return to innocenceAnd if you want, then start to laughIf you must, then start to cryBe yourself don't hideJust believe in destinyDon't care what people sayJust follow your own wayDon't give up and use the chanceTo return to innocenceThat's not the beginning of the endThat's the return to yourselfThe return to innocenceThat's return to innocence
While not exactly fitting this category, I wanted to mention I have found a lot of pleasure recently listening to BBC World Service news on Sirius. It is global, in-depth, informative and honestly, I love listening to their calm peaceful voices. I also enjoy their in-depth stories about things I didn't know were currently happening in the world or didn't know happened decades ago. Yes, U.S. news is covered well , but I like understanding what is happening globally also and this is a great source for both.
If you have access to it, give it a try for a change of pace or for a "slice" of your news pie.
I have another spiritual song for you all that is again from Enigma.
At the very beginning of the song it is sung in sanskrit and just afterwards, there is some Gregorian mantras being sung as well.
The video is really fitting with the song I think. When you see nature and all life contained with in it, and the child like innocence of all living things. It definitely pulls at the heartstrings (well, it did for me anyway haha) but I think it is worth it for the overall message and experience.
Enigma - The Child In Us
Prasanna vadanaaM saubhaagyadaaM bhaagyadaaMHastaabhyaaM abhayapradaaM maNigaNair-Naanaavidhair-bhuushhitaaM(who is of smiling face, bestower of all fortunes,Whose hands are ready to rescue anyone from fear,Who is adorned by various ornaments with precious stones)Puer natus est nobis,Et filius datus est nobisCujus emperium super humerum(For to us a child is born,To us a son is given:And the government will be upon his shoulder)Some day you cameAnd I knew you were the oneYou were the rain, you were the sunBut I needed both, cause I needed youYou were the oneI was dreaming of all my lifeWhen it is dark you are my lightBut don't forgetWho's always our guideIt is the child in us
I think the lyrics might be slightly incomplete because there is definitely more said both in the sanskrit and the Gregorian mantras than is listed in Google.
Anyway, I hope the song resonates with others.

There is a lot of suffering and difficulties happening in the world right now. But there is a hope I feel in all that pain.
I feel this song is very fitting and relevant for the world's situation. The music video is also very well done.
Again, this is a song from Enigma, but you will see like the other two, that they each give something different. This one is probably quite a bit different from the other two songs I shared and a more recent song of theirs. They have collaborated with music duo called "Aquilo" who are from Lancashire here in the UK, and provided vocals for this song.
I have some other videos and songs from other people that I will be sharing either over the weekend or next week. So I hope with those it will capture other people's tastes more, if you are not into this.
Amen
Song by Enigma
I'm out on a new road in search for a land with no nameAnd I never looked back cause I'm walking through sunshine and rainI'm a man who has lived in the tombs and who's broken the chainAmen x 2I was blind and now I seeWhat I've got is not for meAnd I know, it's time to goI've been usedAnd I've been playedI've been spied on and betrayedAnd I know, it's time to goWatch outI feel the painWatch outI'm alive againThe past is gone for good, it's time to say:Amen x 4In lust I believe I will be foundIn the silence of my nightsI can hear a distant voiceSomeone out there is calling my nameWatch outI'm not afraidWatch outI'm beyond the trailIt's time to turn the page and love againWatch outI can feel your painWatch outAnd I cry againI'm leaving all my shadows behindAmen x 4Tentanda Incognita
I know that the US Midterm Elections are coming up for you all, so I couldn't help but take a trip down memory lane to Obama's concert in Washington in 2009 after he won the US Election in 2008 ...

I hope this song inspires some hope for you all, because I know it is nervous times right now.
