In honor of the Pink Moon on Monday, here is Nick Drake singing one of my favorite songs, Pink Moon. FYI it is the first of 2 super moons this year also.

About our pink moon-
This prayer was written by Eleanor Roosevelt, her Wartime Prayer. I hope it contributes to a meaningful Memorial Day for us. It seems very appropriate, today.
Lord,
Lest I continue
My complacent way,
Help me to remember that somewhere,
Somehow out there
A man died for me today.
As long as there be war,
I then must
Ask and answer
Am I worth dying for?
Right now it's the UEFA Euro 2020 football (soccer) tournament in Europe, where all European nations face each other to try and win the UEFA Euro Cup.
It's the first time in over a year that a major sports tournament has gone ahead with fans returning to stands in the stadiums. It feels like such a good thing to see this happening and some normality again.
U2 did a virtual performance at the opening ceremony with Martin Garrix, with a new song called "We Are The People" and you can watch the video of that here:
Oh, and just like the river
I've been running ever since
A long time coming
But I know a change gonna come
Oh, yes it will
But I'm afraid to die
'Cause I don't know what's up there
Beyond the sky
A long time coming
But I know a change gonna come
Oh, yes it will
And I go downtown
Somebody keep telling me
Don't hang around
A long time coming
But I know, a change gonna come
Oh, yes it will
And I say, brother, help me please
But he winds up, knockin' me
Back down on my knees
I couldn't last for long
But now I think I'm able, to carry on
A long time coming
But I know a change gonna come
Oh, yes it will
What about rain?
What about all the things
That you said we were to gain?
Is there a time?
What about all the things
That you said was yours and mine?
All the blood we've shed before?
Did you ever stop to notice
This crying Earth, these weeping shores?
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Look what we've done
What about all the peace
That you pledge your only son?
Is there a time?
What about all the dreams
That you said was yours and mine?
All the children dead from war?
Did you ever stop to notice
This crying Earth, these weeping shores?
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
I used to glance beyond the stars
Now I don't know where we are
Although I know we've drifted far
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
(What about us?)
What about the seas?
(What about us?)
The heavens are falling down
(What about us?)
I can't even breathe
(What about us?)
(What about us?)
I need you
(What about us?)
What about nature's worth?
(Ooh)
It's our planet's womb
(What about us?)
(What about it?)
We've turned kingdoms to dust
(What about us?)
What about elephants?
(What about us?)
Have we lost their trust
(What about us?)
(What about us?)
We're ravaging the seas
(What about us?)
What about forest trails?
(Ooh)
Burnt despite our pleas
(What about us?)
(What about it?)
Torn apart by creed
(What about us?)
What about the common man?
(What about us?)
Can't we set him free
(What about us?)
(What about us?)
Can't you hear them cry?
(What about us?)
Where did we go wrong?
(Ooh)
Someone tell me why
(What about us?)
(What about it?)
What about the days?
(What about us?)
What about all their joy?
(What about us?)
What about the man?
(What about us?)
(What about us?)
What about Abraham?
(What about us?)
What about death again?
(Ooh)
Do we give a damn?
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
You know when you have an experience that you feel is divinely inspired and directed. Last Night my husband and I watched the documentary film Memory Box: Echoes of 9/11.
I can't say enough about this film!!!
So many messages of hope and resilience from such a devastating period of time. We both were completely moved and struck by this documentary.
The film actually reminds me of many people here in this community, experiences you have all shared from your life before we met here on the site and since. It reminds me of what we have recently gone through together in this community, through Trump and Covid and where we hope to be at the end of these difficult times. How we are all connected together.
I really encourage you to watch this film. It is unlike anything you have ever seen. There is light during the darkest of times. There is hope as we travel through things we never could have imagined. The promo below doesn't do it justice. I think it will positively impact you, help you see connections that only a distance of 20 years could make visible. I believe you will be able to take something from the film and apply it to today and help you move through these times as well.
I will be asking our children to watch it too.
In the wake of 9/11, artist Ruth Sergel set up a plywood video booth in New York City, Washington, D.C. and Shanksville, Pa. Hundreds of eyewitnesses shared their intimate recollections in the aftermath of the attacks. Now, twenty years later, they return to reflect upon the past two decades and how they’ve moved forward. Meet some of the voices of “Memory Box: Echoes of 9/11.”

@lovendures, thank you for sharing about this remarkable film and for the link. I'd heard Memory Box was going to be airing but I was extremely tired last night and missed it. I will definitely be watching.
Sometimes when Barber's Adagio for Strings keeps popping into my head I have found it to be a precursor for a larger scale tragic event. I take notice.
It has popped into my head frequently over the past 2 days and I know it is about the past , not the future. It is about 9/11.
It is one of the most moving pieces of music I have ever heard. It makes me feel the deepest of emotions and touches my soul the only way music can and says everything without a word spoken. It is like being surrounded by multitude of angels on the most solemn of days.
If you wish to reflect this 20th anniversary on what our nation lost, what you personally lost and how you have changed, how the world has changed, this is a beautiful piece to play as you reflect.
Wherever you may happen to be, may this be a most blessed day

@lovendures, thank you for sharing that magnificent piece of music. Barber's Adagio for Strings is one of my favorites. It often brings me to tears, and always brings me back to center.
Thought we could all benefit from a good endorphin rush right about now. I watched this video as I ate some decadent dark chocolate -- double the endorphins!
Hope you enjoy.

For those of you who can access The Washington Post, this is a wonderful story:
"The Inspiring math of kindness: How one woman turned a 2-day yard sale into a year's worth of kindness"
A friend sent this and I love it. https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-02597-1
A photo of the oldest evidence of humans in the Americas -- Teenager footprints in New Mexico dated 21,000 years ago. For a decade now I have been feeling them, hearing them, seeing them. They are reminding us.
The other night I was driving home from the gym, thinking about some mundane issues I have, and pondering ways to solve them, when all of a sudden I was prompted by Spirit to just ask for guidance on solving these things. At that moment, I noticed this song was also on the radio... It was made clear that this was not a coincidence and that I should share it here...
So... (In my best Casey Kasem voice)
This "No-Distance" Dedication goes out from Spirit to the hearts of all who need it:
Reach Out (I'll Be There)
Because all of your hope is gone
And your life is filled with much confusion
Until happiness is just an illusion
And your world around is crumblin' down
Darling, reach out, come on girl, reach on out for me
Reach out, reach out for me
I'll be there, with a love that will shelter you
I'll be there, with a love that will see you through
'Cause your best just ain't good enough
And you feel the world has grown cold
And you're drifting out all on your own
And you need a hand to hold
Darling, reach out, come on girl, reach out for me
Reach out, reach out for me
I'll be there, to love and comfort you
And I'll be there, to cherish and care for you
I'll be there, with a love that will see you through
I'll be there to love and comfort you
You're without love and now you're afraid
And through your tears you look around
But there's no peace of mind to be found
I know what you're thinkin'
You're alone now, no love of your own
But darling, reach out, come on girl, reach out for me
Reach out
Just look over your shoulder
I'll be there, to give you all the love you need
And I'll be there, you can always depend on me
I'll be there, you can always depend on me
What I like best is being outside on a sunny day, and looking up into that deep blue sky we are lucky to get here. Hope the photo comes out.
Regards to all

Happy Indigenous Peoples day, everyone! This is the Navajo Night Chant, which is used to help build a connection between people and the Earth. It is known to cure many illnesses. It is long, so i will post it in sections:
I
House made of dawn.
House made of evening light.
House made of the dark cloud.
House made of male rain.
House made of dark mist.
House made of female rain.
House made of pollen.
House made of grasshoppers.
Dark cloud is at the door.
The trail out of it is dark cloud.
The zigzag lightning stands high upon it.
An offering I make.
Restore my feet for me.
Restore my legs for me.
Restore my body for me.
Restore my mind for me.
Restore my voice for me.
This very day take out your spell for me.
Happily I recover.
Happily my interior becomes cool.
Happily I go forth.
My interior feeling cool, may I walk.
No longer sore, may I walk.
Impervious to pain, may I walk.
With lively feelings may I walk.
As it used to be long ago, may I walk.
Happily may I walk.
Happily, with abundant dark clouds, may I walk.
Happily, with abundant showers, may I walk.
Happily, with abundant plants, may I walk.
Happily on a trail of pollen, may I walk.
Happily may I walk.
Being as it used to be long ago, may I walk
May it be beautiful before me.
May it be beautiful behind me.
May it be beautiful below me.
May it be beautiful above me.
May it be beautiful all around me.
In beauty it is finished.
In beauty it is finished.
