Update on James
First, let me thank everyone who has and continues to put James in your prayers, thoughts and meditations. He continues to made some small improvements which is hopeful. Here is a partial update from his wife who recently released herself from her room and quarantine and is able to be with her children in her house again. That in itself is a blessing. Her children have not shown any signs of the virus.
- They had to turn his ECMO flow up a bit during the night because he didn’t like laying on one side. This is probably because one of his lungs is a little more clogged than the other. But his ECMO is back down to 2.75.
- His vital signs and oxygenation are good.
- They have been able to remove some excess fluid through the dialysis.
- His liver enzymes continue to improve.
- We enrolled James in a study with the Mayo Clinic to receive some convalescent plasma (plasma from someone who had Covid, recovered, and now has Covid antibodies). If he is eligible, they will find a donor with a compatible blood type, and then he would receive the plasma. Hopefully this would be one more tool to help his body fight the virus.
- I don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but I am grateful for what God has done today. We still have a lot of race to run, but thus far the Lord has helped us.
Thank you!
Prayers ongoing for James to have a complete recovery and for his family's continued well being. Sending much Light, Love and Healing Energy. ❤️
I have had allot on my mind. People close to me told me mot to worry that I will get to see my son grow up and make a change in this world, but I still am very worried about not living to do so. I am a master of worrying by now ? I have been told I need to just live my life to the fullest, but my mind thinks am I gonna live to see the change.
I so get this.
I am estranged from my only child and for at least two weeks was consumed with worry, would I have the time to let this heal? To reconnect?
My focus has changed to staying in the present moment. i have Anxiety and a few other mood disorders. Once I start regretting the past, or fearing the future, I begin to spin out. I am learning to recognize this pattern. It seems that you are recognizing your patterns too, and that can only be good and healing. :)
In order to build my immunity up I have had to let go of the worry and extreme fear. I measure days now on this metric; have I lived my best life today?
If you are taking all precautions and staying isolated, every day that passes puts us in a safer, closer to vaccine time frame. So I am feeling that with each passing minute the situation is improving.
Saw this recently, "It's okay not to be okay." You're a mom. You live for more than one person. With every day you have just love your little boy and let him know he's safe. Enjoy each moment.
My heart is hurting right now, my dearst Aunt Mickey just passed away at 89 from Covid 19. Thank you for all your prayers. ? ? ❤️
