A discussion popped up a few days ago on the Midterm Elections thread about the astrology of Election Day (Nov. 8), but I thought it might make sense to continue it here.
I realized that the Uranus-North Node-Mars conjunction that takes place on Aug. 1 is at 18 degrees Taurus, the very same degree of the lunar eclipse on Election Day.
Uranus, as I mentioned in the other thread, is change energy. Disruptions, awakenings, sudden insights that strike like lightning. The North Node points us in the direction we need to go in order to grow. Mars will also be there, heightening the energy.
So I'll be keeping an eye out for events or themes that emerge leading up to or on Aug. 1 as clues for what might come back again on Election Day.
So we have two more close encounters with Pluto in December 2022 and October 2023?
I can guess what December 2022 will be related to. Probably some sort of revelation with the 2022 midterms. Probably proof of Republican cheating if they win that comes to light or, more than likely, the Republicans challenge the election results because Democrats do better than expected because they can't fathom why they lost (Uh, Roe v. Wade and the fact that women don't want to become Handmaids, maybe?)
As to October 2023? Who knows? Maybe that is when someone finally files charges against Trump? That will be a full year of Trump being on the rampage. Or maybe proof comes out that finally breaks Trump and the Republican party once and for all (As if that will happen, but a girl can dream!). If it is, it will probably be something related to Roe v. Wade (probably proof involving Trump and Epstein, or evidence of Trump or Republicans paying for their mistresses paying for abortions, etc.)
I actually feel pretty upbeat right now. Yes, Pluto reveals the worst, but that is a good thing. Eventually, the ones causing these problems will go away, and the bad things they did will be so repugnant to future generations that they will reject anything and everything Trumplican related. So while the majority of the nation is against Republicans concerning Roe v. Wade (let's hope it translates to votes), many people will also reject anything Republican related, such as climate change denialism, right wing Christian Taliban leaning (not abortion per se, but the basic thinking that men are the masters and women must obey them and therefore can't preach, take leadership positions, etc.), protecting the rich from paying taxes, etc.
If there is a backlash against Republicans in the 2022 midterms where they don't win as many seats as they think they will, then they may finally, finally, FINALLY stop supporting Trump, which will allow Trump to be indicted. Trump, being Trump, won't tolerate this and will take over the Republican nomination (thus driving millions of independents to the Democrats because abortion and women's rights will be a major uniting force by that point). If he fails that, he will run as a third party candidate, and the entire country will be blue because Republicans will be so divided. Yes, there will be chaos and violence, but so what? By then, Biden will still be President on January 6, 2025 (regardless of whether he is re-elected or if another Democrat takes his place), so if Trumplicans try to pull another terrorist attack on the capital, Biden can always call in the national guard and haul these terrorists to prison where they belong!
Sometimes you have to hold the filth up to the light before you can wash it away. Everyone thought Boris Johnson would last forever, but eventually even his own party got tired of him. Yes, I know that he wants to try to stay a few months more until another PM is elected, but that doesn't matter as much as the fact that another entitled man who thinks that women are toys for his enjoyment and that the law and rules don't apply to him are finally being humbled, even if it is just a little. In the future, the fall of people like Johnson and Trump will look like an obvious outcome to those studying history, but to us who live it, nothing feels certain until it suddenly happens.
Does anyone know of any event that may occur on or around October 2023 that may give us a clue as to what Pluto's return will bring? I checked to see if there were any conventions or other events that could give us a clue, but having found nothing, I am going with the assumption that it will be Trump or Republican related considering how close it is to the primary season for 2024.
That North Carolina case that SCOTUS has agreed to look at concerning states getting to choose the winner vs the voters....everything I've read suggests that will affect the 2024 election...but what's to stop them from taking it up as soon as they come back this fall....right before the 2022 election?
Would they really let us have one more chance to vote them out? Not if they can help it.
And yes...I also feel like we haven't heard the last of Jeffrey Epstein.
Oh I wonder if the stasis feeling I have had for the last few years will finally fade and such upon the turning of the astrological signs. I'm an Aquarius, though I don't know if that helps or hinders. hehe
Its super interesting how this might lead to changes to self and others and the world.

What were people's experiences of the Uranus-North Node-Mars conjunction that peaked yesterday? We'll still feel it until about this Thursday.
I got the impression that more and more people are awakening to the realities of climate change, and wanting to take action about it. The new bill introduced in Congress by Manchin and Schumer is in sync with this awakening. It is one step in a long journey, but it will help accelerate the pace of change in the US and the world.
For the first time, I'm feeling hope about mitigating climate change, precisely because more people are waking up to it. I haven't felt this about the climate in a long time.
Tomorrow (election day) at 6:05 EDT there will be a total "blood moon" lunar eclipse with the Moon at 16 degrees Taurus and the Sun at 16 degrees Scorpio. This is supposed to be a big deal, esp. with the election, and like all eclipses, is said to portend changes. (The effect on the election has been discussed in some posts made here by others.)
I know enough about natal chart astrology to do a some superficial interpretations, but I get a little lost on the effects of transiting planets, eclipses, etc. I do know that if the Sun/Moon eclipse positions are conjunct or square to a person's natal planets, that person should feel effects more than people whose planets do not form significant aspects to the eclipse elements.
One of my exes has a birthday today. I sent him email greetings, and realized that his Sun is smack on the eclipse's Sun position. Then I realized that a close friend will have his Sun squaring the Moon and Sun tomorrow (orb= zero degrees). So --wow. I tried to find more info about eclipses squaring the natal Sun but couldn't find anything specific about the square aspect. I was hoping someone better versed than I could tell me what these people are in for with the eclipse, in case they need support.
Some of you may know that we are currently under a Mars retrograde in Gemini. Although the actual retrograde period will end on January 13, we will be under the shadow of it until mid-March when it will again reach the degree on which it made its retrograde station. Mars is primarily the planet of war and aggression, but "war" doesn't have to mean traditional soldiers and armies; it can also be any form of powerful action, force, or movement. Gemini is communications, so the aggression we began to see communications last month (before the retrograde) - particularly in social media (I'm looking at you Twitter!) - could very well be reversed as Mr. Musk discovers that there are consequences to his actions. A lawsuit has been filed by former twitter employees to force Mr. Musk to honor the original terms of their contracts, which he has attempted to ignore and/or pretend that he has the authority to change. The lawsuit is likely to be successful because the terms are laid out very clearly in the employment contracts and cannot be altered capriciously. His attempts to force people into accepting extra-contractual terms will end up costing quite a bit both to pay the actual termination benefits as well as litigating the issue once the retrograde is over
Mars made it's retrograde station on October 30, a week before the election. The results of the election were well in line with a Mars retrograde, given that the much-touted "red wave" completely lost its momentum and failed miserably. The fact that the retrograde continues through the beginning of the new Congressional session to begin on January 3 tells me that much of what the R's want to do will be severely hampered by lack of force and direction, meaning that whatever things they attempt to do will either be non-starters or will peter out and disappear quietly for lack of support/energy as some House R's break ranks and the MAGA crowd begins to be more fractured and isolated.
While the J6 committee will end, they will be submitting criminal referrals to the DOJ. The DOJ will continue to work quietly in the background over the next two months, conserving energy and collecting more information. I believe we will start to see more action on that front beginning around the first of February as Mars gathers and focuses its energy again. Around the middle of March (which I think I said in another post somewhere on here) Mars will leave the shadow of the retrograde conjunct TFG's Sun, so I would expect much more direct pressure on him, culminating in indictments likely toward the end of May. More information and final charges for him and his Congressional minions are likely to be developed over the next three months, as well as for some of the sitting members of Congress, although some of that will unfortunately be left by the wayside.
That being said, these are really only examples of the many things we're seeing in the public sphere where attempts at seemingly calculated moves are likely going to fail outright or be detrimental enough that they will be reversed after the retrograde. On a more personal level, what we are experiencing in our lives is a sense of flailing around without a point, feeling confused, off-course, and generally out of sorts. Our energies seem misdirected and without a target right now. Because the retrograde is occurring in Gemini, we should perhaps expect issues similar to a regular Mercury retrograde (see my next post! 🤣 ), i.e., communications breakdowns, misunderstandings, incomplete information, etc. That will get better after the direct station in January, but for the moment, the best we can do is to accept that things we're trying to do may be derailed due to insufficient or wrongly-targeted energy and simply relax for a bit to rebuild our energy stores. Enjoy the holidays and do your best to avoid as much conflict as possible.
