As I was looking through climate predicts tonight for this summer, one thing struck me more than anything else. The sweeping amount of predictions we have for fires and heat. I am creating this category so that we have a place to discuss all things related to fire and heat this summer. May it be a summer filled with cool breezes and clean air. One can hope right?
I’ve been in the Colorado Rocky Mountains for a week and a half enjoying the fresh air and cooler temps than in Arizona right now. The air quality has been great until today. Today the blue sky has been replaced by a Smokey hazy from wildfires in Canada which likely will continue to effect the air quality here until the end of the week.
This is manageable if the temps remain low and you can close your windows. If temps rise, the issue is there is no air conditioning up here in most places so you cool off with yucky air from outside and open your windows. Or stay hot.
Can’t imagine how it is in Canada right now.

Honestly I didn't realize Montana was having a difficult time with fires. I hope you get assistance from Mother Nature with some healthy rain storms soon.
