I can tell when info is overwhelming and flooding my brain when things I know to be true become oddly distorted. I’ve felt this sense of time speeding and shifting and this morning my phone calendar showed 11am Circle. I KNOW it’s at 10 but when I saw it, I didn’t question it. A peaceful morning and full night sleep so the sudden realization that I’m off kilter completely this morning feels very odd. Bummer. I’ll do a meditation and ask what’s going on w this time warp feeling.

Circle of Light is on this morning at 10 am ET, 7 pm PT.
That was a powerful Circle of Light. We had a guest from Denmark and a dog from Michigan who sent extra light this morning. @Tesseract, your name was invoked with reverence and gratitude, even though you could not be there. Our Denmark guest told us that, in spite of some bad feelings towards the US in Europe, she knows many in Europe who are sending us light.
Today's reading: To find peace, we need to transform our relationship with our enemies:
- Outer enemies: People, institutions, and situations that intend to harm someone.
- Inner enemies: Anger, hatred, fear, and other destructive emotions.
- Secret enemies: Self-obsession that isolates people from others.
- Super-secret enemies: Deep-seated self-loathing that prevents people from finding inner freedom and happiness.

We have a secret enemy -- It’s about self-preoccupation and disconnection from others. When we meet someone, we hardly notice anything about them, but tend instead to focus on how they might perceive us. It comes from self-preoccupation, or narcissism. Narcissism is not about loving yourself. On the contrary, it is about obsession from inner bleakness. It is coming from a completely separate, disconnected, independent self.
Look at a tree. It appears to be alone, but there is the soil, rainfall, and everything that is affecting the quality of the soil and rainfall. The tree is a network of relationships, of connection, of interactions.
Examples from our lives.
We were in terrible traffic. Then as they had been complaining about the traffic, they realized, We are the traffic too. They realized the issue was traffic, not all those other people.
Imagine you are in a subway, and Martians come and zap the subway, so you are stuck with these people forever. So now you take an interest in them. You become interconnected with them.

Thank you, Jeanne, for the visceral reminder that like it or not we’re connected to every other soul. Sigh. I’ve got work to do. I’m back to hurling scatalogical insults at the TV again… I feel helpless and useless and guilty… today I watched the honorable, brave leader of Ukraine being insulted and bullied to his face by the President and Vice President of my country. God help us all through this nightmare.
