The Awakening that comes from hardship
- Hardship awakens people to love, thinking for themselves, demand for truth, compassion for others. “Sovereignty” is the word. People are looking to themselves as their own sovereign. (Andy)
- Due to the darkness of media propaganda, disinformation, and hate, many people turn towards love and illuminate more than ever. A collective rise is happening. (Jeanne Mayell)
- The public realizes the lack of truth in the 4th estate (media) and demands better. (Andrew Posey)
- Communities have been forged in the crucible of the previous few years. (CC21)
- I see children singing and smiling. Focusing on the children and playing with them brings our anxiety and worry to a standstill. ‘Be like little children’ is what I hear. (Andy)
- Our own inattention is now having consequences that focus our full attention on what we always felt was a given. People are going to make a stand. There is a call for clarity and a call to clear all the smoke and haze of disinformation. (Andrew Posey)
People turn towards love and self-care
- The human heart is opening. More people are awakening to love. (Seaholly)
- People are becoming more open to the idea that we are not alone in the universe. (Seaholly)

- More people are meditating and becoming spiritual rather than religious. (Seaholly)
- Music education becomes an important part of children’s overall growth and development. (Seaholly)

- School authorities increasingly add meditation to their curriculum. Children accept it with opened minds. (Seaholly)
- Many will stop listening to devices and start listening to their hearts. People will begin to realize being a good human matters. There also will be a reduced reliance on technology. (Andrew Posey)

- These who remain fixed in virtual cultures will take themselves out of the human equation but increasingly will begin to realize the novelty of human interaction. (Andrew Posey)
- Halloween, some politically humorous costumes and Portland-like animal costumes will trend for a while. (Jeanne Mayell)
- Acoustic music is gaining in popularity. I see a fiddler, live music increases locally so people can find live music joy in their own communities. (Jeanne Mayell)
- People react to job boredom by having more fun at home. More time with friends. (Jeanne Mayell)
- Younger generations have more compassion for each other and other living things as well as the planet. They will change how they do politics, with a more global approach, and the understanding that we are all connected. Cooperation and dialogue will become central to how problems are approached. These upcoming generations will also be more inclusive and tolerant of differences. (Seaholly)
- We will celebrate what has been avoided and what good has done, especially in terms of plague, war, and murder of the innocents. This could have been much worse, and the collective has reduced the horror that could have been. It morns what has not been saved. People turning more towards local government and local living
- The world is getting more locally oriented, local food, local music, local news. (Jeanne Mayell)
- More openness to group gatherings of friends without having to be paired up. People want to socialize and have fun without a lot of rules and restrictions. (Earthangel)
- More dressing for yourself vs letting the fashion industry rule your choices and having to buy new clothes. More freedom of self-expression. (Earthangel)

Anti-consumerism Trend
- I see people cooking at home. Literally I see someone making bread and feel happy. People are getting back to basics and learning how to make what they need instead of buying it. (Andy)
- Handcrafted gifts and baskets of homemade goods are the trend in December. The gifts means so much more to the givers and the receivers. (Andy)
- I see trends towards simplicity and going back to basics. People are using household items more wisely and are buying things for lasting value. Goods can be beautiful, but function has become more important. Companies (and influencers) telling people what they NEED is not as popular with consumers. People are saying no to corporate drive for more. Patchwork quilts and repairing (creativity with thrift and older owned clothes) is fashionable. Making do is seen in a positive light. There are more classes in how to dye fabric naturally, grow home gardens, repurpose items and create new art from used items. People are saving their wallets and the earth. - Quality over cheap materialism is a major trend. It runs deeper than just a trend. (Lovendures)
- Fast fashion becomes out of fashion. (Seaholly)
- More secondhand stores open for everything under the sun. Recycling clothes and household items as well as newly repaired big machinery are made available to those who want or need it. (Seaholly)
Environment & Sustainability
- Alternate energy sources will be scaled up for widespread use. (CC21) Increased awareness and oversight of pollution and ocean warming. (Andrew Posey) Greta Thunberg won’t be silent. She’s a Gen Z revolutionary icon risking it all. (Andy)
- Young people are especially becoming more aware of their impact on nature. (Andy)
- I see people picking up trash that has washed up along a coastline. This might be in Asia or somewhere around the Pacific rim I feel. (Andy)
- People and communities are organizing to successfully fight the takeover of farmland from big international landowners and corporations. Laws are passed to outlaw this trend with time. (Seaholly)
- Back to the land trends become more common, with people growing their own food for food security and health reasons. (Seaholly)
Health Advances
- New cures for mental illness. Drugs and gene therapy are making a difference. (Seaholly)
- Scientific discoveries in all fields but especially in medicine are exploding and will help people live longer, better lives. (Seaholly)
- The divide is being bridged between mainstream western medicine and alternative medicine, including yoga, acupuncture, shiatsu, tai chi, homeopathy, and ayurvedic medicine. Medical professionals are incorporating alternative medicine into mainstream medicine, and they are bringing an evidenced based knowledge to alternative medicine. (Jeanne Mayell
- There is great interest in and success with alternative healing and complimentary medicine practices. This will lead to more direct partnerships with western medicine for greater healing capacity. (CC21)

Economic wake-up
- More people are seeing the value of their dollar get worse and they start to wake up. They become more open to removing the top people in power and turning over a new leaf. (Andy)
Discoveries and Innovation
- An island rises off the U.S. Atlantic coast. It is big news. I hear “sunrise civilization.” (CC21)
- There are underground discoveries in caves. There are places we did not think possible. (CC21)
- There are star grids and discoveries about our universe. We have an expansion in our galactic awareness. (CC21)
- Automated, driverless air taxis become more common in big cities. (Seaholly)
Politics
- Compassion returns in leadership in the U.S. and in other countries! (CC21)
